Few days ago Boeing said a door blew out of a Boeing 777x prototype at a pressure test...now an insider published anonymous pictures of what really happened. The entire fuselage broke apart. The jet would have been crashed.

The interesting part is the open attack on Boeing on all german media

    Stern:
    https://www.stern.de/reise/service/...bei-belastungstest-des-prototyps-9023572.html

    Welt:
    https://www.welt.de/wirtschaft/arti...eing-Rumpf-bricht-bei-Belastungstest-auf.html

Even Bild, the most read tabloid reports it on page one
    https://www.bild.de/geld/wirtschaft...-platzt-bei-belastungstest-66342966.bild.html

Thats such a technical issue is published that widely in all media is rare and in this case gives Boeing another blow

After the Max3 debacle this makes things even worse for Boeing. It doesnt get out of the news here and gets an absolute horrible image.

@Thedimon I must admit, looks like coordinated media attack one a company that is already on the floor.

I think Boeing got itself into this mess. Their greed got into the way of quality.
I do believe the company will get out of this mess in a good shape. They already fired the CEO. I hope they will remember this lesson for quite a while.

    Pilot error

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Airlines_Flight_587

From the NTSB report of the accident:

The National Transportation Safety Board determines that the probable cause of this accident was the in-flight separation of the vertical stabilizer as a result of the loads beyond ultimate design that were created by the first officer’s unnecessary and excessive rudder pedal inputs. Contributing to these rudder pedal inputs were characteristics of the Airbus A300-600 rudder system design and elements of the American Airlines Advanced Aircraft Maneuvering Program (AAMP).[1]:160

Since the NTSB's report, American Airlines has modified its pilot training program.[34]

Oh well, that's why they do extensive testing. And the attack on Boeing is no surprise: Airbus!

Bad design in the first place.

    "
A plane that shudders like a 'washing machine'
Passengers on board an AirAsia flight this week were told by the captain to "say a prayer" after a reported problem with an engine left the plane shuddering like a "washing machine". Deeply unsettling footage shows the Airbus A330 shaking violently after an apparent bang from the left engine.

The Kuala Lumpur-bound flight turned back to Perth one and a half hours into the journey due to a "technical issue" and the aircraft landed about three hours after departure.

Brenton Atkinson, 24, said the whole plane started shaking. "The engine seized up I think, that's what they told us anyway," he told ABC News.

"It was literally like you were sitting on top of a washing machine. The whole thing was going. We could see the engine out the window which was really shaking on the wing. Once we landed we realised one of the blades had actually come off the turbine."

    When the plane goes 'pyscho'
A pilot who saved the lives of more than 300 people by averting the crash of his passenger jet broken his silence earlier this years, describing how the aircraft's computer "went psycho" plunging the plane hundreds of feet in seconds.

Captain Kevin Sullivan was in charge of Qantas Flight 72, from Singapore to Perth, when the Airbus A330’s auto-pilot malfunctioned twice, first dropping the aircraft 690 feet in 23 seconds, and again sending it 400 feet in 15 seconds, causing more than 100 injuries to passengers.

In short. Both Airbus and Boeing are for profits company and will take the most shortcut as possible to make money even if it kills peoples. They have insurrance to pay the famillies.

It will be hard for Boeing to sell machienes in Europe. The mayor airlines all start switching to Airbus more and more. On global scale Boeing lost already against Airbus.

The quality issues of Boeing are not the biggest problem though. Their main issue is, that they lost in developing competing models. For example Boeing has nothing to counter the A321LR

Who? How many orders? And how is the A321LR superior to the 787?

And Europe is buying it's own products? That's a first. ;)

Pretty sure Boeing, or Airbus for that matter, will be bailed out if they went bankrupt. Politicians will cite security concerns like they did for the banks.

The A321LR is a single aisle jet that allows more flexibilty for airlines. Use a regional jet for long distance, which makes routes profitable that would not be unprofitable with the 787 or A350.

Its not just Europe. Asia and also USA more and more switch to Airbus. Delta for example

They're not even in competition for the same market.

Yup, because Boeing has nothing to counter anymore

You may hate Germany ect but should admit, that Boeings management steers Boeing at the wall. Their managers ignored trends and then went for cheap solutions which cost lives. It reached the point where your own air force refuses to take boeing aircrafts because quality issues.

One is a wide body long range airplane. The other is an extended range regional jet.
That's like comparing a VW Beetle with an 18 wheeler.

Sucks. They trade competition for safety.

Show me Boeings competitor for the A321LR.

What narrow body long range aircrafts does Boeing offer? Its the biggest market segment right now. Airbus gets so many orders it has problems to deliver.

Boeing isn't interested in that market. They specialise in big long range airplanes.

Wrong. its their main market. They are in panic, because they lose it and they lost connection to current developments. The 737 MAX was born out of this desperation.

Im right. The 737 is Boeings main segment. And its collapsing compared to Airbus.

Currently Boeing loses on all fronts and thats good news.

P.s. Did fly to New Caledonia with both...from Amsterdam to Osaka in a Boeing 787 and from Osaka to Noumea in a A330...the 787 was pure crap. The most laughable feature was the windows. You need to press a button so it gets darker. It takes minutes to get transparent. When yu want take a picture it takes too long to get transparent. The who thing was a joke.

Designed and build by americans...and it was nothing but garbage. The guys who screwed this **** together should be lined up and spit in the face from the passengers.
