Outstanding, this is what is needed. Cause and effect. Leadership is doing what others cant or will not do.

Snip: “On behalf of all of our stakeholders, we applaud and thank Congress and the administration for their leadership in seizing this opportunity to unleash economic energy in the United States,” Boeing CEO Dennis Muilenburg said in a press release. “It’s the single-most important thing we can do to drive innovation, support quality jobs and accelerate capital investment in our country.”

Nothing better than working for a Company and seeing that Company invest within its own.

Maybe they're hoping that this will made up for the $8 billion sale they lost when Canada canceled their plan to buy F-35's after Trump started a trade war with Canada.

Maybe they think kissing the Trumpian ass will help keep the Clown Prince from destroying the Iran deal and sinking ongoing efforts by Boeing to get the business of replacing Iran's rather large fleet of commercial airliners. Trump's bellicose rhetoric has that deal in trouble as well.

Why would Boeing care about F35 sales?

Boeing will save more than that so I don't see the problem. Do you?

Or maybe it has something to do with the fact that Boeing's stock has doubled in value since Trump was elected, significantly outperforming the stock market...the libs' bleating and wailing about how things are horrible for Boeing notwithstanding. What do you think?

I guess the first question that comes to mind is "Why didn't they do this before?", I mean after all, their stock doubled. Let's see in a year if any of this actually happens.

Not lying. Boeing does not have standing to instruct the Commerce Department.

The Commerce department is acting on Boeing's complaint, it's up to Boeing to withdraw the complaint, the article is perfectly clear and unambiguous on this. Your attempt to drag Trump into this looks desperate and totally dishonest. Carry on.

No I am never wrong.. Lockheed Martin is the leed corporate team member with Northrop Grumman , Ptratt&Whitney ( engines) , BAE Systems ( a British Owned Compaby) providing the aerospace electronics among other components. If you know any history of the aircraft industry you would know that Northrop was the designer and manufacturer of the flying wing aircraft, Grumman was primarily a aircraft supplier to the Navy, BAE was British Aerospace and MarconinElectronics merger. You must know I am sure that Lockheed built the famous WWII P-38 Lightning and Martin built the Billy Mitchel B25 and theB26 Marauder. Therefore through consolidations and buyouts we went from nearly 20 aircraft companies circa WWII to a handful today.

Boeing and AT&Treason are the chorus of cheerleaders for this rip-off of the middleclass taxpayers. I'm sure a few more will join.

The acid test will be how many of those US corporations with money holed up offshore to avoid taxes will bring their $ back to the US. Precious few, IMO.

The F-35 is made by Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth. I work there frequently. Ive never worked in the final assembly hangar, but I have seen them coming out of the autoclave.

I also used to work on F-111s and F-16s, both built in Fort Worth.
