    Continued from closed thread.

A key lawmaker who went public this week with charges the Obama administration collected and spread information from surveillance of President Trump’s transition team said Friday documents he's been shown "concerned me."

“There’s some information in those documents that concerned me and I don’t think belonged in there,” House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., told reporters at a press conference.

Doesn't matter to me which one we use. We made our threads at the same time.

This whole story does shed light on something I heard on the radio awhile back.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/12/...to-share-intercepted-communications.html?_r=0

They were wondering why someone who had been in Office for 8 years, had to do this with just a couple weeks left in Office. It's starting to look a little clearer. Maybe having this many hands in the soup makes it harder to find those responsible if something gets leaked or abused?

This desperate attempt by the Trump cult to cling to a gossamer thread of credibility for one of their messiah's paranoid tweety fantasies has fizzled.

You are mistaken. He said, "...wiretapped him at Trump Tower..."

There was always going to be something to this. Trump obviously didn't wake up one day and pull this out the blue - noone would, and he's a lot smarter the majority. He obviously found something. I've thought this from the off.

Exactly what he found remains to be seen.

We will tire of this investigation, it will take months, every implication needs to be examined and those that arise from them. Along the way the prior administration and Democrats are going to look bad because they ostensibly controlled the intelligence gathering. Unfortunately Trump can't do anything about this because he will be accused of trying to cover up whatever it is believed the investigation could reveal.

The investigation hasn't turned up anything serious yet, we haven't seen anything explicitly showing the alleged collusion, money or promises being offered, commitments of any sort. I doubt anything like this will ever be found. What the investigation does do is hold a cloud over Trump and his cabinet, I think this is the aim and that this will become more evident as the investigation continues and no "smoking gun" is found.

I wonder what the electorate will be thinking a couple of years from now at the midterms as the investigation continues, still no smoking gun, all sorts of suspicious inuendo and plenty of evidence showing the questionable efforts to catch Trump.

So is your position that you actually think Trump... invented this?

He's a lot smarter than which majority? The guy is a putz with a knack for smoke and mirrors to deflect attention away from the deep **** swamp he's in the center of with these investigations.

So let me ask you the same question: is the position you claim to stake out that Trump invented this wiretapping story?

I await his admitting if he just pulled it out of his fat butt.

Is he a liar? Is he paranoid? Is he delusional? Did Joe Biden spin him a yarn?

He has yet to come clean or provide a modicum of evidence.

Yet today it's Comey who's being grilled in a closed door hearing before the Intel Committee ... Manafort actually volunteered to attend. Seems the committee is more concerned about Comeys previous testimony.

I cannot say for sure whose brainchild it was...my guess would be Bannon but likely anyone that stands to be outed for what they have done or for the role they have played when these investigations are completed. And there are actually as of now, six people involved with Trump that are under investigation, not counting the media outlets that are being looked into as well.

Turns out a President can surveil foreign operatives and gain inside information about his political opponents.

This does not bode well for the future of the Democratic Party.

"Suggesting that Obama never ordered surveillance on an American citizen is somewhat ridiculous, when in fact we know of very public instances, like Rosen, when it has been done. Considering Obama's non-stop panning of Fox New during his terms, some find it hard to believe that he wasn't directly informed about the Rosen spying."

    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-...e-order-james-rosen-discusses-his-experiences

We know that the Obama Administration has been wiretapping and surveilling American journalists in the past, as well as Heads of State and the UN. We know Obama hated Trump for all the bad press Trump dished out on him. All throughout the Obama Administration, routinely pointing out all of the disastrous decisions Obama and his Administration had made and were making. Obama even invited Trump to a dinner at the White House, then proceeded to roast him in front of the entire crowd. These two hate each other. Still do.

Is it so far fetched to think Obama, who did it in the past, would not wiretap or surveil Trump during the election or even after Trump defeated the candidate who was going to carry on his policies and his legacy?

A source who has not been named is said to have a "smoking gun".

Yes, it does. It also looks like more people are coming forward. Could be from the NSA. I really want to know what was said between James Comey and Devin Nunes this morning.

What they've found is that the NSA isn't willing to cover for the FBI. Comey was not very cooperative with respect to producing certain documents requested by the committee. The NSA however also possessed those documents, and did provide them. If Obama has provided unredacted transcriptions across a wide spectrum of agencies the consequences will be dire. If Comey tried to conceal them, or denied their existence? :bye:

The Committee is discussing that with him behind closed doors right now. :)
