They clog our emergency rooms. They avoid paying for insurance and scoff at our tax laws. They weigh down our education budgets with ESL classes free government breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They smuggle drugs into our country. They fill our prisons, and assault and murder our citizens and law enforcement officers. I don't care what party wants illegals for what purpose. I want that wall built now and I want anybody breaching that wall in a Northbound direction to be shot on site. I've lost 3 friends to illegals drunk driving and have other friends abandoned on the side of the highway after a car wreck with an illegal in downtown Dallas.

Our teenagers can't hardly find jobs because illegals are taking all of the entry level jobs in border states.

Police won't even ticket illegals for minor crimes that I cannot do in "sanctuary cities". They are no sanctuary for me or any other American.

I agree we need to end illegal immigration but we also need to make it easier to legally work in the USA for migrant workers.

Well my goal is to know who is coming into our country and why while at the same time ensuring our farmers have the workers they need to bring in the harvest. I think we can do both.

A physical wall is just political theater since people can go over it, under it, and through it unless manned by a strong enough force to patrol it. Unless we are putting the army on the border I dont see any of the parties willing to pay for the man power needed.

If you truly want to stop illegal immigration you have to go to the heart of the problem It is the big companies that hire illegals that are the issue. Take away business licenses and fine big businesses that make a habit of hiring illegals and it will go away. No jobs equals no illegals.

Also just plain make it easier to immigrate here. I have no problem with legal immigration and it is way to hard to do currently. All I want is to know who the people are and why they are here.

No, anyone in the country illegally should have to return to their home country of origin and apply for legal entry.

The damage to the US has been well and truly done now, so all you can do is just try not to let any more in which, ipso facto, will make a dire situation even worse? The liberals have struck again!

 

It's really the same problem, actually just worse.

Sure, a small percentage of people may have gained insurance, but they sure as heck don't have healthcare. With how high premiums and deductables are, a lot of the lower class people were better off not paying and then just going to the emergency room.

I said it above, Obamacare had the right idea they just went too far. Everyone should get catastrophic insurance, but most of the rest of it should be decided upon and paid for by each tax payer.

Hmm, I guess they do go together. But the main drug problem in the US stems from the 20 years where we had politicians, doctors, and companies swearing opioids were safe to use.

My favorite was last weekend having a discussion with a Progressive friend of mine who says it is 100% the "corporations" fault.

When I asked; "So it's not the officials who make laws for the companies? So it's not the doctors who want to sell the drugs as much as they can? So it's not the distributors who want to sell as much to the doctors as they can? So We the People hold zero responsibility including the propped up black market for opioids?"

The problem is now cultural and cannot be fixed in this generation, hopefully the next generation see's what happened and makes better decisions.

But the problem is split between government, companies, medical professionals and citizens of the nation itself. We all have blame in this one .... kinda like almost every other subject out there
