Your article does not mention a physical wall, it does cover how I have advocated drones and sensors over a physical wall due to costs and logistics. Didn't see anything about solar powered sensors, not sure that would be wise, since it would give away it's location.

I am all for the technology wall over the physical wall.

Fine, but the article does state not all of the wall is on the border and some is wall replacement. That's all fine, my point again, is the notion of nearly a mile a day of new wall, let alone one with all the features that you claim.
