    [h=2]U.N. Human Rights Council Calls for Boycott of U.S. Companies

    The Washington Free Beacon has obtained a report soon to be released by the United Nations that calls for an international campaign of legal attacks and economic warfare on a group of American companies that do business in Israel, including Hewlett-Packard, Caterpillar Inc., and Motorola Solutions Inc.[/h]
    The report attempts to instigate a campaign of boycott, divestment, sanctions, and legal action against a litany of international companies doing business in Israel. In addition to American companies, the U.N. targets include major European firms such as Veolia Environnement, Group 4 Security, the Dexia Group, the Volvo Group.


    “The costs to companies and businesses of failing to respect international humanitarian law are considerable,” the report warns, “including damage to a company’s public image, impact on shareholder decisions and share price and could result in employees being criminally responsible for rights abuses.”


    The report warns American employees of targeted companies that they face legal risks.


    “Employees of companies can face investigation and prosecution for human rights violations committed irrespective of where the violation was committed.”

    In the 1930s the German Zionists led a world-wide boycott against German goods and services. Now the Islamic countries are trying to use their power through the UN to impose sanctions against various companies and their employees who do business with Israel.

    This is going to be fun to watch.

    Not Barak. When the UN says to bomb a country the President says, "How hard"?

    Eventually the UN will tell the US to attack Israel. It is only a matter of time. In fact, sanctions are an act of war, so they are already at war with Israel.

    Perhaps. What are the details of the situation in Israel as concerning the American/European commercial interaction, the alleged violation and/or tolerance of the violation of human rights, how long has it been going on, and how, factually, is this a lie or completely unjustified response by the UN?

    Those are false narratives. Israel has an enemy living within their borders who have leveled false accusations and the despot simpletons in the UN take it seriously because they want to pretend they are important. I'm sure you agree that is intolerable.

    From a practical matter the Islamic countries aren't very smart. They should demand that Israel be expelled from the UN for being a threat to world peace. Israel has constantly threatened to attack Iran in violation of the UN charter.

    The boycott that they are trying to start is similar to the one the German Zionists forced the world into against Germany in the 1930s. That eventually led to WWII.

    This is going to be fun, especially if the HRC brings charges against companies and specific individuals. The US habit of imposing sanctions against other people might come back to bite it in the butt. It will be a hypocrite if it opposes sanctions. It will be equally bad if it agrees to them.
