This isn't good news for Donald Trump.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2022/06/02/...ies-in-front-of-fulton-county-grand-jury.html

ATLANTA — Brad Raffensperger, Georgia’s secretary of state, testified on Thursday before a Fulton County special grand jury as part of an investigation into former President Donald J. Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election results in the state.

Mr. Raffensperger is the first of roughly 50 witnesses asked to appear in front of the grand jury over the next several weeks. His wife, Tricia, and several of his staff members, including Gabriel Sterling, the chief operating officer for the secretary of state’s office, have also been called to testify.

Mr. Raffensperger, who testified for nearly five hours, and his wife left the courthouse on Thursday without answering questions from reporters.

The special grand jury was impaneled in May and its 23 members have been directed to determine whether Mr. Trump or his allies broke state law in their efforts to overturn the election results in Georgia.

Ms. Raffensperger was expected to detail the multiple death threats that she and other members of her family received from far-right groups in the weeks after the 2020 election. They grew so dangerous, Ms. Raffensperger told Reuters in 2021, that the couple went into hiding for more than a week and canceled visits from their young grandchildren.

Last week, Mr. Raffensperger won his primary against Representative Jody Hice, a Trump-endorsed challenger who argued that the secretary of state had not done enough to investigate Mr. Trump’s false claims of fraud in 2020. Mr. Raffensperger defeated Mr. Hice by nearly 20 points, delivering a blow to the wing of the Republican Party that still harbors resentment toward election officials they believe were disloyal to Mr. Trump.

In an interview with The New York Times last week, Ms. Willis said she was also considering bringing other charges, including racketeering, that could widen the scope of people who will be subpoenaed in the coming weeks.

If you think the prospect of attending Graystone U doesn't cause him to be incontinent, you're uninformed.

It's puzzling that you think it's a good thing that Trump hasn't been held accountable yet.

Remove the stars and stripes from your sig line. You don't deserve to misuse our flag.

Find new material, my anti-American chum.

You still haven't explained why Trump being an unrepentant criminal is "funny".

He obstructed justice at least 10 times, he illegally tried to pressure state election officials to change slates of electors multiple times, he violated campaign finance laws, and there's a lot more, my uninformed amigo. All of this is well-documented even if you haven't bothered to learn about it.

What OldYoungin is saying @Nemesis is that Donald Trump has been called a 'criminal' of varying sorts from the first month after he won the US Presidency. There's no need to relitigate every claim made against him, the same utter farce was done with regards to FMR. AG Barr and the DOJ has less reason to protect Barr, so why hasn't the criminal mastermind doing Trump's 'bidding' been ensnared yet?

We'll take it seriously if Trump is indicted and we get to hear the evidence.

I gave some examples. oldblather thinks a criminal abusing the power of the presidency to avoid accountability is amusing. I think that's unAmerican.

Unfortunately, no matter how strongly the left feels he violated these laws, the only thing is that action matters. Even for you, the left, the "we got him now" phase should be quite old. What you should also want to see is an indictment and a trial of his peers.

It has to do with facts, not feelings. It has to do with accountability for conduct, not sentiment.

    I'm "the left" now?

    Interesting.

Ms. Willis thinks that other people threatening Raffensperger is Trump threatening Raffensperger? The only what that would be true is if Trump directed them to threaten Raffensperger. And there is no such evidence.

You didn't hear the recording of Trump trying to coerce Raffensperger?

Hokay. Maybe you should listen to it.

Yep, I listened to it. It definitely did not reflect the way the media portrayed it before it came out. And it still does not reflect the way leftists are portraying it.

Anywho....what does that have to do with what I said? Why is Raffensburger being questioned about threats made to him and his family by idiots out in the general public? The only way that is relevant is if they can prove that Trump told those people to threaten Raffensburger. And there is no such evidence.

You know what I find mind boggling? There has been a mass exodus of people around Trump since his campaign started and all these apologists that continually defend him and defame them aren't considering that these people were UP CLOSE with him and know more than they do from listening or reading their favorite media sources.

People, countless people around him have issued warnings. People aren't going to risk their licenses, reputations, careers for no reason. People aren't going to face angry mobs and threats for no reason.

I mean, at some point people have to pause and say "What are so many people saying the same thing about this guy?" Why isn't that happening? It's like he's gaslighted them to not even be able to see and hear anything outside his bullsh!t.

You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about, nor can you justify any of those absurd claims you just made.

    *LOL*

Oh, I sure do. I've been practicing law for over 30 years. You obviously bought into the Orange criminal's blather. BTW, read the Mueller Report, my not-so-well-informed amigo. It lays out at least 10 counts of obstruction of justice. And that's the tip of the iceberg of crimes.

Or, you could continue spouting off from the easy chair because it's the easy thing to do when you're in a cult.

Held accountable for what again? Trying to expose the democratic operatives who illegally counted votes not cast by actual people? Hmm...

What accountability are you suggesting he be accountable for again?

    Projection at its finest.

Practicing law is like practicing opinion lol. It doesn’t lend any credence to your opinions. At no point did the mueller report lay out any obstruction, nor did it prove any crimes. I humbly suggest you do some objective research so you could see how wrong your assumptions are.
