Cuomo granted immunity to nursing home executives, after big-money campaign donation: report

    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/cuomo-immunity-nursing-home-campaign-donation

The donation made the group one of the state party’s largest contributors in that cycle. Three of the hospital association’s top officials separately gave more than $150,000 to Cuomo’s campaign between 2015 and 2018, the outlet reported.

That donation is now drawing scrutiny after Cuomo signed legislation last month that protects executives from lawsuits -- just as he is under continued criticism for his March 25 order (since deleted) requiring nursing homes to take in COVID-19 patients.

On May 10, and amid increasing criticism, Cuomo issued a new directive stating that hospitals cannot send patients back to nursing homes in the state unless they tested negative for the virus.

First Cuomo lied about nursing home deaths, then he lied that it was Federal policy, now he is saying it was nursing homes that caused all of the deaths and now........ turns out Cuomo granted immunity to executives after they gave big money donations to his capaign.

I believe this is criminal and just another example of liberal leaders in these blue states issuing bad policies and taking huge donations.

Cuomo should be removed from office and investigated by the DOJ. Thoughts?

No wonder blue state deaths are so high, these guys couldn't run a lemonade stand.

Here's a paradoxical statement: I agree with giving them immunity in that they themselves(the nursing homes) did not willfully participate in this murderous scheme by mid-atlantic liberal governors. They simply were diktated by the force of the State governments. It's these governors who are liable and should be subject as you said to prosecution.

This is sort of silly....the nursing homes are liable for what Gov. Killmom ordered them to do. Gov Killmom has the blood of thousands on his hands and he alone is responsible for nearly a 40K deaths

He is getting slowly backed into a corner and just hoping all of this goes away. Cuomo is a real piece of garbage. But New York gets what it deserves, they elected this clown.

Forcing nursing homes to take COVID-19 patients is not even remotely the same as a business merely reopening. Come on, even you can't believe they are comparable. Talk about comparing apples and pyramids.

Also ---- "push their employees back to work"? LOLOL. People work so they can get paid. That's how that goes. No employees are ever "pushed" to work, but if you don't work you don't get paid. This Dem scheme of unemployment bonuses etc can't go on indefinitely. Your leftwing spin that it's somehow cruel to expect people to work for their money is laughable at best.

Not to mention, the people most effected are elderly and with at least one other underlying condition ---- those folks are most likely already retired. It's the entitled whiny millenial types who've so quickly grown spoiled with the idea of living off unemployment, and who are afraid of their own shadows, and who want to hide in Mom's basement wearing a mask forever. Yeah, sorry, according to the CDC's most recent estimates this thing is less than 0.3% fatal, and the millenial age group is not the one at high risk. Go back to work.

I wonder, do democrats still line up to try to replace one loser Biden with another, Cuomo? Probably, they do as they are told.

It's called compromise. Most of the bill was good and time was of the essence, so President Trump let that toxic bit stay. I didn't support it then and I don't support it now.

We are now seeing the [predictably bad] results, as people realize they can get paid more to stay home than they were earning working, so they don't want to return to work. A blind man could have seen this coming. Talk about the law of unintended consequences, but that's the laziness of human nature for you.

Remember the shining moment a couple of months back when Cuomo was looking like the DNCs white knight and saviour, and the candidate that could replace the confused old basement man and be an actual viable candidate that might have a prayer of beating Trump?

Yeah, that happened. If you blinked, you might've missed it.

GOOD LORD: Cuomo’s Deadly Nursing Home Policy Likely Cost 10,000 Lives So Far.

Have we had another Gov credited with more kills in the modern era?

So why would Trump sign such an obvious evil Dem scheme to keep folks on unemployment? Is he that much of a ***** that he can't stand up to the evil minority party?

I thought you guys LOVED him because he "owns the Libs" as you all say.

Not only that, but he insisted on signing his name to the check.

This is just selective amnesia on their part.

    Really?

    I DON'T remember that.

    Was that a 4-chan rumor?

Nobody ever (seriously) thought that Biden would be replaced. Nobody.
