Hearing it started in the attic... welding, maybe. Welding accident or electrical makes the most sense to me on how quickly it could have spread.
I just watched Trump's recent remarks. I did not take them to say that he was implying arson. For once, he seems not to have put his foot in it.
So yes to 1. and Not so fast to 2. The Gendarmes have opened an active criminal investigation that is open to all possibilities including arson and terror. News agencies reporting otherwise are not correct.
The major islamists are all, uniformly rejoicing as "allah" "punishes" the infidels. To put a fine point on it, if anyone in the islamist world doesn't understand that the very minute they take credit that drones will be in the air, well... So, perhaps taking the credit for this one will take a moment to manifest itself...
there has yet to be a jihadist terror attack they did they didn't own proudly hell they even try to own terrorist attacks they didn't commit and they don't give a crap about dying for the cause
The cause is likely going to be very difficult to determine conclusively. Even if there are some indications this was arson, the Government would likely be hesitant to claim it was terrorism. A claim like that could start WW3 at the worst and cause major complications at the best.
Its not true. The construction boss said this morning hes not ruling out arson. If anyone should know whether thats possible or not its that guy. Is it hard to believe there could be Muslim construction workers? Too early to say yet.
I saw a video, from an unverified source, of what looked to be a man in islamic garb seen walking along one of the upper floor balconies during the beginning of the fire. As stated it was completely unverified and grainy cellphone video so take with quite a bit of salt.
They ruled out arson yesterday before the fire was even put out. So either they knew how it started already or they are rushing to judgement and trying not to fan the flames of speculation. 1-2 hours AFTER all work had completed, the fire started. Construction workers possibly left caused this with negligence.
According to French officials, a preliminary investigation leads them to believe the blaze was started accidentally. While it is true that a fuller investigation is still underway, officials have ruled out arson or terrorism. https://www.thelocal.fr/20190416/do-we-know-how-the-notre-dame-fire-started The source of the story is a press conference hosted by French officials
I'm thinking the same thing - we may never know how the fire started. While the collapse of the spire is obviously no small thing, I'm amazed that the interior of the cathedral wasn't damaged more extensively - I was expecting it to be completely burned out.
I wondered about this too. I read this morning that they did not yet know the cause of the fire, yet had ruled out arson or terror before the fire was put out. How does that work? Also, it's been determined that TWO fires started in different areas. So on the first day of holy week, on a day no construction crews were there working, two fires start in separate areas and immediately is determined not to be arson and terror. Hmmmm?
French Billionaires are stepping up and saying they will contribute over 100 million for restoration.
