Plus the person I thought you was wasn't even alive in '86, so I know it can't be you.
Your birthday's almost identical, maybe 5 days difference, and I feared it was this person using amenity and hiding so altering their birthday a bit.
It was a long shot, but I didn't rule it out, until your post about using the internet in '86.

My first internet chat room was called CIX, now an internal comms system in some large company.

    Do people apologise in here?

    @Pixie He's right y'know.
You can't expect this community to agree with you or take your side unless you state it and back it up, like I did.

I take Brexit leaving the EU has made UK more efficient which has the effect of leading in Europe.

    What measure?
I've stated all of the measures I believe this is so and countered what I believe the EU is leading in in Europe (trading with itself and listening to the CCP).

You don't have to agree or even defend what you believe, but I cite my sources and make nothing up.

I am sure you don't make things up.
I am sure you believe whatever you say you believe.
It's just that I don't make things up either and I am telling you that I don't care anymore about Brexit.
Perhaps you still confuse me with someone else who does.

You came with 'Scotland wants to leave the UK'.
First of all, the SNP want to leave the UK, not Scotland.
Then you said Ireland wants to leave the UK.
The EU's own jingoism recently in its article 16 move and withdrawal, have actually united the 2 sides on Ireland for the 1st time in decades, as they all now feel it was wrong for the EU Commission to do this.

I'm sure you believe Scotland is waiting to leave the UK to join the EU, but I don't believe this, as I live in the UK and know what the major stories are here, and Scottish independence I'm afraid mon ami, isn't a headline.

I believe you were wrong because I read what you wrote and know it's not the case.

...from the 21st century or 30th century...I guess your scientists perfected a stasis field in the 30th century....you can come back in time and put your favorite American friends in it and wake them up for the occasional hoedown? How does it feel? Stasis I mean..not having American friends that must be dreadful....to be in stasis....to no longer exist in time and indeed for time itself not to exist....to be a non-event mass with a quantum probability of zero....bit like lock-down I guess.........

Does asking "so?" have a case?

I don't think you are getting the "case" at all.
Very simply, I am not going to discuss Brexit in any manner whatsoever. I have had enough of it . Now stop goading me and find an argument somewhere else. I joined here because I want to discuss inconsequential things that interest me without hassle, insult or belligerence. I am sure if you look you can find these things across the internet but it AIN'T gonna be with me.
    Is that clear?

God, it's like WWII all over again

    "I don't want to play."

You started it, no one forced you to join this conversation and then when you get opposed, you wave a little white flag and turn towards your united Europe without questioning it.

I guess I should never have expected anyone in France to defend what they believe.

See you around in the funnies mon ami.

The EU acts like a tanker while the UK acts like a speed boat.

The EU seem to single out the UK to compare itself with in the vaccine roll out and hates being behind the UK but honestly, the EU better get used to life now in Europe being behind the UK in everything.
It's early days still, but it's already happening.
    • UK leads in Europe for vaccine roll out.
    • UK leads in Europe in global trade.
    • UK leads in Europe in banning the import of products linked to slavery coming in from China.
It's crazy to think people thought you couldn't operate outside of the EU, when in fact leaving the EU makes you more able.
