    I just caught the last segment of a communits talk radio show and the talking head was asked that very question by a caller. The confulse host said, "why should we let Trump dictate to Nancy how to go about this?"
    Easy to extrapolate, the dems are scared shitless of this quagmire they have mired themselves.

    As long as they don't vote, they can drag this out indefinitely - which is their plan anyway since the quid pro quo and the obstruction BS fell through the moment Trump released the call transcript.

    Doug Collins filed an Amicus Curiae in the DC circuit seeking a disposition. They simply can't sit on this unless they get a corrupt judge to fall on his or her sword.

    Sadly for you, Pelosi is Speaker. She has never called for impeachment trial. She has called for an impeachment probe consistent with the majority of her caucus. Good prosecutors do not write a half ass indictment, just to get it over with and then rush a case to a judge and jury so that defense counsel is happy with the timing . They anticipate all the questions either a judge or a grand jury/ jury may have, either spoken or not, and they make sure they have answers by having all the angles investigated, and all the potential legal minefields researched. This investigation must be thorough, diligent, and incredibly tight. That means a lot of subpoenas are to be issued and testimony taken. Its all got to be put in the public record in committee. Then the work sessions begin deciding how to write any articles they need to include in their majority report and motion to impeach. A lot of votes need to be taken.

    You can't on one hand refuse to cooperate with the investigation, and on the other complain about the time frame it takes to get to the end result. These subpoenas now have to be litigated. We can be patient. We will follow each lead, each relevant fact, and the trail of documents that get uncovered. We will take our sweet time, and if this seems to drag... well it drags.

    If we decide to change tempo for whatever reason, and start ramming these through then we will ram them through.

    Next time you want to clear the field for your general, you make sure you retain control of the House guys.

    There is no impeachment vote because there isn't anything impeachable found yet. Currently, this is the investigation phase. AKA the fishing expedition. :fishing:

    Really? Great! And when did they say they were going to stop harassing Congress and allow them to continue the investigation without the stonewalling?

    You are aware, I hope, that nobody who is innocent would go to these lengths to impede an investigation. I'm just pointing this out so you are prepared for the "worst"

    Yeah they have to wait for their witnesses and testimony to show up. President has put a few legal obstacles between their work in these hearings.

    She doesn't have a week.... "Malfeasance in Office," complaints are being filed in several states against House Democrats for not recusing themselves from this illegal move on Pelosi's part.

    If Pelosi doesn't resolve this many House Democrats won't qualify to be put on the Primary ballots.
