If you're from the UK, living in the UK, where in the UK are you from or living at?

It dawned on me that, maybe my part of the UK is different to your part of the UK.

I'm from Thornton Heath in Croydon in South London but I'm mostly from London (could be anywhere in Greater London and it's my hometown/London).
Where I'm from's kind like an inner city black neighbourhood but there's also a lot Asian people here too.

It's vibrant here, the air full of Caribbean or Indian or BBQ cooking smells, heated discussions and loud Dancehall (or my electric guitar from yours truly).
I'm white but I never grew up around white people, but as an adult, leaving my neighbourhood, I've met and befriended people of all walks of life, and people think I've got an accent if they're white from London and The South East.

It's not a poor neighbourhood, people have money and big enough houses here (mixed in with poor people with nothing but not as bad as some places I've seen outside of London), however, it's not a posh neighbourhood like Mayfair or some place in Buckinghamshire, but the houses can be decent and the odd celebrity either moved here or came from here and stayed.
It's 7 miles due south of Charring Cross (the geographical centre of London).
