"but the RFS says it is too early to know if the fire was started deliberately"

Oh dear, and supposing it was started deliberately, and the culprit turns out to be an 'asylum seeker'? That'd make the 'All migrants are welcome here.' brigade feel really stupid. I mean, such an easy thing to do to cause untold damage to any western economy - just a match and a striker - sorted??

Yeah them bloody Muslims ,well I presume you mean Muslim asylum seekers . Yeah I have told my grandkids to tell the teacher a Muslim ate your homework.

Nah it was probably just some idiot like the other dozen or so arsonists every year for as long as I can remember, none of which has ever been started by an asylum seeker.

OK, none of the ones that have been caught. So why do you promote the cause of terrorists ?

What did I say that makes you believe I'm promoting the cause of terrorists?

If you already have enough fire starters of your own, then the last thing you should want is to add to them isn't it?

What is the primary aim of terrorists?

    terrorist
    ˈtɛrərɪst/
    noun
    1. 1.
a person who uses unlawful violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.
Or in the case of militant Islam, in pursuit of religious aims.

OK what is the aim of terrorists, not the definition, anyone can google that and cut and paste the first thing that pops up.

Now don't say "the pursuit of political aims". That could be achieved many ways . Why do you think they perform these acts of violence. I mean there is nothing strategic militarily in mowing down a group of shoppers in a mall. The World Trade Centre wasn't chosen for it's strategic value.

How in your opinion are they hoping to achieve their objective by such acts?

You asked the question so I answered it. But I no longer have any interest in this exchange because obviously there's a disconnect between us - it happens sometimes on discussion forums.

LRL has a point - there is no gain from bushfires as it does not promote terror - we have been fhrough too bloody many of the things for it to have terror value. Ir is like living on the side of a volxano - you know it will erupt but you try to plan ahead and make sure you bug out early

Well they sure do affect those whose houses have gone up in smoke, and the implications for the national economy.

No you didn't, I asked what was the primary aim of terrorists, not what is the definition of terrorism.

Some Volxanos never errupt, but when they do, look out,
Remember Mount Saint Hellens here in the U.S. ?

Dormant for eons, until it blew it's proverbial stack, Dormant again, until the next event....
