While the OP didn't call for any laws, part of this conversation is going to come down to what should and should not be law.

The unadulterated hatred emanating from the left is palpable.

I've been boycotting Chic-Fil-Lay for years in protest of their bad food. Add the fact that their owners hate gays, and support anti-gay groups, including a few which were calling for homosexuality to be a capital offense, and I have even more reason not to eat there.

If you look at the line of cars ordering at the drive-through window you would see there are a lot of people who like their good food. No other fast food can compare. But to each their own taste.

And this is why the food itself is a red herring. It's pure opinion on whether it's good or bad.

Every good fascist would agree. No doubt, Benito would approve.

Well before this last very poor business decision.. which will gain them nothing from those they seek to appease.. I will no longer go out of my way to patronize them..

That's for me, and no one else, to decide, bub.
You not going there means I don't have to wait in line as long.

That would be a lot like opposing any LGBT people from living in your community- or anything else you don't like. But you would object to that, because rules should only apply where you want them too?

People do disagree with policies of any company have the right to not do business there- and those who do not disagree or don't think it matter have the right to do business there. But NOBODY has the right to promote damage to any business or any person as a way to make their personal bias into a community vendetta. Thus if you can build up a hate mob strong enough to run somebody out of town- you will have deprived everybody that does not agree with you of the right to do business where they choose.

Doing business at Chick-Fil-A is not harming the LGBT community. It's not sexist, it's not racist or anything else. It's about liking the food and the service, or not.
Or if you wish, it's about making your politics or personal agenda the basis of all your judgements. You advocate a process of blackmailing any who disagree with you- and I disagree with that. You have the right to your opinion and personal choices, but not the right to make mine for me.

Why shouldn't the owners of the business be allowed to practice their business policies in the format they desire?

The problem is, the radical progressive left likes to think that religious people are cult like, yet progressives are probably the biggest cult trying to force their views on everybody else.

    Says the progressive fundamentalist.

I hate to break it to you, but you are just as radical as the people you think you are opposing.

Luckily for them, they don't need your business. They are quite comfortable without you and the boycotts have helped them be even MORE successful! :roflol:

How do their owners hate gays? Do you have any basis for this claim AT ALL?

Strange. Leg has a stronger flavour than breast. Breast barely tastes of anything at all.

They support Christian groups who believe marriage should be between a man and a woman, you know, like 95% of the people believed a decade ago. Show me where they support Muslim groups since those are the only ones I'm aware of that support killing homosexuals.

The separation of church and state didn't go far enough. It needed to extend further than just to the schools, but to business as well. God and business have to be separated in this country, why? Not everyone is a Christian, which is why its quite distasteful that retailers have "Merry Christmas" hung up on every display instead of "Happy Holidays" to show respect to those who may practice other religions, notably Jews. Even though a retailer like Target might be secular, to insinuate that its Christmas being celebrated is pushing one religious view over another.

What is hateful about it? The documented evidence of how unhealthy fried chicken sandwiches are, or operating a business under the belief your god is holier than others?

Its called the Chick Fil-A Law signed into law by Gov Abbott. Happened earlier this year.

While I can't personally state whether there's ben gay discrimination, given the EOE is simply a legal crutch for employers, I wouldn't be surprised if a interviewer, asking about a higher power in an interview to see how an applicant would fit into CFA's culture, would toss their application into the trash for identifying they are homosexual as part of that answer.
