Were Pete Buttigieg and Amy Klobuchar effectily forced out of the 2020 Democratic race, in a frenzied DNC attempt to stop Bernie Sanders--who would, presumably, be a disaster as the standard-bearer for the Democrats in November? I simply can see no other reason why these two would have suddenly dropped out of the race--and just before Super Tuesday. (That is especially true of Buttigieg, who was actually doing pretty well--despite his announcement that he saw "no path" to the nomination.) Now, of course, the "moderates" (by Democratic Party standards) can all flock to Joe Biden. No split vote there. Comments?
Neither were going to win, so they got out. Not that complicated. Nobody was going to win any of those southern states but Biden.
I like the fact that the Democrats literally have nobody better then a senile corrupt liar to support while complaining about trump being a corrupt liar. Creepy uncle Joe will only get worse as time goes on. I still don't think creepy uncle Joe will get the nomination but I hope he does.
Yes of course they were....Pete even admitted that he was essentially called in my Party leaders . The DNC was not going to let a gay man, have a chance at actually being on the ticket in Nov.....
Comments? This is really no longer a current event and an invalid thread format even if it were current.. That's my comment... Amy was my personal choice from day 1, but the fraidy cats have spoken... Go with the "safe" choice..
No Trumpster will ever make Biden look worse than Trump. It's a waste of time. Your main problem - apart from the fact that Trump will leave behind a ruined economy - is that if the election were held today, Trump would have no chance of being re-elected.

No hint of corruption? What do you call Hunter? He did ride on Air Force 2 to China & he made a fortune from China & Ukraine because of his Dad.
I call hunter his own man. Traveling with your dad and making deals is corrupt? Guess you’re not familiar with Jared andIvanka lol
Many call him ..... A drug addict A military loser A deadbeat dad Someone who capitalized off his fathers position. He will be a real asset to Trumps campaign
His own man.... yeah a guy who doesn’t want to support his child. Jared & Ivanka work for the government. Hunter didn’t They also are not dead beat parents, slept with their siblings spouse, or got kicked out of the military for drugs. Like Hunter....
The ruined economy Obama just tried taking credit for? Democrats do well when America does not. Democrats seem happy the market is falling. Democrats are the party of the poor. They are politically invested in keeping people poor, making people poor, and importing more poor people.
When hunter was on that Ukrainian company board, I wonder what that access to Biden got that company?
When things go wrong, voters are looking for people who can clean up the mess. When Trump is defeated in November, he will be the third Republican President in a row to take power during a period of economic growth and leave a recession behind him.
November 2024 is pretty far off. People will be crying like those screaming Hillary libs only because he is leaving. Maybe we can talk him into staying?
He stays within the lines, may have fudged one or two this time with Hunter and his Board Member career.
LOL... you can talk him into anything.... But "we" want him to go more than "you" want him to stay...
Speaking only to the OP: Only Sanders, Biden and Warren did what a candidate really needs to do to win: assemble a crew in most states, visit most states, modify agenda to diverse communities. Compare Buttigieg to recent similar candidates. Cruz won Iowa by shaking the most hands. Then finished back in the pack in New Hampshire, couldn't quite reach the south except his home state, but somehow mastered the caucus system and won more western states, lasting until May. Santorum shook the most hands in Iowa and won, got nowhere in New Hampshire, South Carolina and Florida, then found some lonely heartland states for victories and lasted until mid-April. Buttigieg is the weakest of the 3. Klobuchar had home field advantage in Iowa and came in fifth. In 2016 the fifth place finisher quit immediately. In 2008 the fifth place Democrat was gone before New Hampshire. She did better, too good to quit. Then she beat Warren in her backyard, but it was still third place. In 2012 the third place person in New Hampshire dropped out immediately. In 2008 the third place Democrat in New Hampshire fell apart immediately. In Nevada and South Carolina Steyer's commercials did him little good, but he beat all the women, but Warren was ahead of Klobuchar in both places. Warren lost her home state and will cry forever. klobuchar avoided that embarrassment. One win wasn't enough to keep Bloomberg in the race. How would finishing first in one state, third in 4 and 4th in 6 and fifth in 4 make her credible thereafter? Obviously Warren hoped Klobuchar would endorse her when she called it quits, but there was no use doing that since she wasn't going to do much better. Apparently Warren feels entitled to many votes just for being a woman.
