You folks already know what I’m thinking, right?

    1. Butti is selling the far left’s agenda of no gas powered cars
    2. Democrats are pushing for electric cars because the head honchos on the left profit from it, just ask Pelosi
    3. How do you charge your car during California’s infamous rolling blackouts?
    4. Why would anyone want to take an electric vehicle on a long trip when it takes hours to recharge the batteries?
    5. How many recharging stations do we have in this country?
    6. What do we do when the left says manufacturing and disposal of the batteries is killing the planet?
    7. The cost of an electric car is racist

Families that own an electric vehicle won’t ever have to worry about gasoline prices, Buttigieg told MSNBC in an interview Sunday. Americans who live in rural and urban areas would benefit most from buying an electric car since they

Of course Americans would have to worry about skyrocketing electric power costs (something that can already be seen in several Democrat states).

And would have to worry about interruptions in the electric supply (which have already been seen in the case of natural disasters or brownouts due to government incompetence).

Natural gas cars are yet another option for those individuals concerned about the cost of gasoline.

Electric cars will be a success when they figure how to recharge them with unicorn farts. Because the power grid couldn't handle it even with all their wind turbines and solar panels working 24 hours a day.

And this is where I show them a video of children in the Democratic Republic of The Congo mining cobalt with their bare hands, knee deep in chemicals and waste. All so you can have your "clean" electric vehicle....

We get natural gas the same way we get gasoline...

    Not quite.

Anyway, I think your argument is either disingenuous or I don't see what your point is.

I work in the industry. You have to frac natural gas wells the same way we do oil wells. And it doesn't come out of the ground ready to go for sale, it has to be pipelined out and processed first, just like crude oil to gasoline. And guess what liberals and eco-terrorists want us to stop doing? You guessed it, fracking...

And take a wild guess at which fuel source all of the equipment used to mine cobalt, lithium, iron, aluminum, and all other sources of materials for "clean" energy operates on? You guessed it, petroleum. You can't build a single wind generator without using coal and petroleum...

Since we’re talking about Butti and all…it’s not the same as Harris calling Brandon a racist, but the comment was made.

Buttigieg adviser called Christine Blasey Ford 'looney tunes'

Democratic strategist Lis Smith, who served as the senior communications director for Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg's 2020 presidential campaign, believed Christine Blasey Ford was "looney toons," according to recently revealed text messages.

    Yes.
    • The skyrocketing fuel prices are intentional.
    • They want transportation dependent on a public utility, which gives them more complete control over our ability to travel.
    • And while Bootygeig shows up from Paternity leave now and then tell us about "racist highways" and how we need electric cars, he isn't doing a damn thing that we actually need him to do, like get the supply chain that the Left completely screwed up, working again.
The CA electric grid, which supplies west coast harbors that are critical to the entire Western US supply chain, already barely staggers through the summer without shutdown. What happens as all these cars switch from petro to electricity, and at the same time when CA is already restricting natural gas and requiring all electric homes?

Just say no to these ass wipes and vote Republican. Not that the GOP is any collection of prizes but at least they aren't completely bat **** crazy. Not there aren't some decent Democrats, there are, but, they need to speak up more and be more assertive and they damn sure aren't running the show, but, a good half dozen in just the Senate spoke up and sunk that shoplifting commie that demented Biden was trying to get confirmed as Comptroller. I wasn't aware that there were 6 democrats in the Senate with that much good sense. I was glad to see that.

As a note, California is closing its last nuclear plant in 2024. I wouldn't be caught dead owning an Electric car in California after that date as the state already imports nearly a quarter of its electricity. The black out situation is going to get a lot worse.

Have rightists always been fearful of innovation and invention? Did rightists lose their minds when Henry Ford helped eliminate horse and buggy?

The only way to go is nuclear. You could cover the entire state of California with solar panels and wind generators and it still wouldn't be enough. What these people don't get (or rather, refuse to acknowledge) is that there is not a single form of "clean, renewable energy" that can be manufactured or maintained without using coal, petroleum, or it's byproducts. Not a single one...

That’s what they are trying to do. That’s why prices are so high. They want you to fork out 70k for an electric car with a battery capable of a 100 mile trip.

You would be a fool to purchase an electric car this early into it’s existence. I’ll consider an electric car when all gas pumps are replaced by charging stations and cars are capable of 500+ mile trips. Oh, and shave half the price off while you’re at it.

Kind of like the idiots that purchased blu-ray players and HDTV's when they first came out for $5k. Now you can get them at any Wal-Mart on the planet for $200.

Long story short, even if you drive an electric vehicle, you are still a consumer of petroleum. There's no getting around that. Period.

    Christ, these people…

Nothing is wrong with the innovation of electric cars. I’ll be on board once charging stations completely replace gas pumps and these cars are capable of 500+ mile trips. And not pricing them at 60-70k would be nice too. Thanks!

The infrastructure bill has funds for 500k plus charging stations across the Nation.

The Tesla model S can go 405 miles on one charge.

    Innovation and technology, love it!

ROFL! It doesn't matter if you have a BILLION charging stations, if you don't have enough electricity... and California does not.

They don't power the entire Nation.
