California Gubernatorial recall election - results thread

So, it's 6 am here where I live, I am going back to bed and will report more later.

I have seen more than a few people say that Elder made it easier for Newsome

 

I'm just shaking my head at the baseless claims of vote rigging in this recall election. I wonder how long sore-loser Trumpublicans will make this claim every time they lose an election. I expect it will only cause further harm to the Republican Party as a whole, since most people want competent adults rather than crying man-babies and shameless, unpatriotic liars in public office.

 

When Elder became popular support for keeping Newsom grew. The polls were 50/50 before that.

Gavins allies knocking on doors and calling people greatly helped him too.

 

I was really hoping for Kevin Paffrat to pull it out in the end. I think that bamboo ballots, algorythyms, Hugo Chavez, George Soros, Groucho Marx and others have swung the vote for Newsom. Larry who got 15% of the actual vote really won. If you go to his website, you can donate money to stop this outrageous steal.

Elder will need this money to keep up his lifestyle so please give generously to this effort. Larry’s mantra for years here in LA living in the Hollywood Hills and hanging out on the Sunset Strip and at the Playboy Masion has always been “Who got the good weed and where the white women at”. This ain’t cheap, so send Larry a little love, please. He really made a good run ant turned this race into a real barn burner. God bless him.

 

So, it's after 9 am here and I am awake. The winning margin for Newsom has barely budged and we are now at 66% of all votes having been counted:

California is such a **** hole, I'm glad they voted to keep it that way. I just wish those who voted in such amazing leadership would at least chose to live in such a well run state...

We here in California live in by far the greatest state in the Union. I am a proud Californian. The overwhelming rejection of the sleazy GOP attempt to weasel their way to power with 15% of the vote was a great victory for California and for election integrity in the US. Let us all know what great state you live in and we would be glad to send Larry Elder and Kateland Jenner your way.

California has the 5th largest economy in the entire world and is a giver state in terms of the national treasury, unlike many, many red states, that are taker states. California is not a shithole.

 

Care to pony up real evidence for that red herring?

 

Well, their population fell by 0.46% in 2020....so that is pretty close to everyone leaving, right?

 

Ya that's not an indicator as to if it's not a **** hole. Unless you wanna look way up in the sky and dream of the 5th largest economy while you try to carefully step around the homeless as you navigate your mini Syria you've created.

What that California has a growing homeless problem resulting from years of piss poor democratic policies. I've posted the Forbes article that talks about that in detail.

Gotta be tougher on homeless. Right now they rule the roost and have turned the state into a **** hole.

 

Seems you are judging the entire state by the condition of a few blocks within a few cities. Cali is a big place, stop using such a huge brush

 

They voted to keep competent leadership that wouldn't ban mask and vaccine mandates to score points with the conspiracy theorist demographic.

 

Only 74% of the votes have been counted.

What is taking so long?

Again we have to wait days or weeks just to get 100% of the ballots counted. As if we can't learn from the 2020 election...

 

I heard on the TV they have till the 21st to receive mailed ballots. Cannot verify this.

I think the days of having the results in like 12 hours are long gone.

I personally am ok with that, I prefer accuracy to speed

Oh, and there are homeless in Arksansas as well. That g-dless Arkansas....

 

California always gives itself almost 3 weeks to get everything right. Instead of bitching about the fact that it takes time, rejoice that their process is the most intensive of all the 50 states and DC and therefore, the chances of fraud are practically nil.

 

The homeless in California has reached epic levels. But I personally wanna see it get even worse. And apparently so do California voters

 

Yeah, it really is as if you can't learn from the 2020 election. It always takes time to count all the votes. It's the same every damned election.

 

At this point, I'm not sure some people even realize that different states have different procedures for ballot counting. And, it could also be that various counties within a state has different procedures. It's always amazing to me when people just spout out anything because of that they think they know. Can't say I blame them. Trump got them all to believe there was widespread election fraud basically counting on them to be ignorant of how those processes and procedures vary widely across the nation.

There is no reason that anybody doesn't know how this works. There is all kinds of information on the internet so it must be willful ignorance.
