    This thread is unfair to non-Californian's [especially Republican types]. There is no state as geographically/ ethnically diverse as California. And people who live in the Rust Belt Midwest look very foolish trying to make an argument against the West Coast/ Left Coast. :laughing:

    That's how much you spend and only reflects that stingy states like Indiana don't have much revenue anyways. Why do your poor flee to California during winter months?

    The CA infection is spreading. We now have a democrat mayor of Indianapolis and the 'homeless' (spell that 'drug users') downtown is getting out of hand. Along with the left coasts Starbucks that turns out to be a gathering place for the 'homeless' (spell that 'drug users') to eat their free food that is given away.

    Show us pictures of the devastation after brush fires and mudslides and traffic on the freeways, and the smog.There is beautiful scenery in every state. I would NEVER live in California and my tourist dollars won't be going there.

    There are no private beaches in California and the Coastal Commission goes after any property owner from blocking access to beaches. California also does not allow high-rise apartment/ hotels near the beach like those unsightly condos that line the beaches in Florida/ N & S. Carolina. The "socialist republic" of California strictly regulates the scenic treasures that cover the state. And is fighting Trump from opening more oil drilling offshore. Republicans don't deserve California and are encouraged to restrict their businesses/ residence to states like Mississippi. Maybe the OP will move to the Gulf Coast and fit right in but he won't leave California where he has lived all his long life.
