You didn't get the joke. If God is using Dems to punish US, then someone else must have given Him the reason for it, and that someone can only be those who are not Dems.

The truth is that the only thing that is punishing you is your "I am being punished because people around me are evil" mindset. Its absurd. Your burden is heavy, but no one asked you to carry it. Think positive!

That is not a new mindset. Pessimists have always thought that way. Back in the 1960s the parents of the boomers could have sworn it was game over for the US: Assassinations, Vietnam war, draft, racial riots, anti war riots, Cuba missile crises, fear of nuclear war, bay of pigs, war in Israel, drugs, sexual revolution, hippies, commies, 91% tax rates, evil music, hare krishnas, you name it. Lot of people thought they were living in the end times and that rapture was imminent. But it was not the end. You lived most of your life since the 60s and admit it has been a blessed time. I think its STILL a blessed time despite of all the political noise.

Ken Burns who is a noted expert on the Civil War apparently believes we are every bit as divided now as we were in 1860. The problem I see is there is no Mason Dixon line. Urban dwellers are dispersed through out the nation pretty much. Of course it is not about slavery. It is traditional American principles and the ideology of the New American Marxism or collectivism. A better description of the divide would be, those that would trade individual liberty and freedom against those who would sacrifice it for a feigned peace and security under the rule of government.

 

In what sense? None of the things in the OP are actually happening. Is it even possible to go from "best ever" to "worst ever" in a matter of months, even though you can't actually see anything different? Its all in the mindset.

 

I tend to agree with you but occasionally, through out history, all these things come to a head. those things you mention are all still brewing.

 

I think as long as we have patriots like Mike Flynn making sure we are wary about our salad dressings, we'll be fine.

This! I find it utterly ridiculous that people think changes in policy, which are by far not as dramatic as some want us to believe, will have immediate effects, rather than taking months or years to manifest.

Inflation is one of those examples. As if Biden waltzed into the office in January and decided that we now want to have some inflation, and, boom, 2 months later we get 5% inflation. it won't work that way. However, that won't prevent the typical partisans to constantly post their "Biden will destroy the US" drivel.

Even Trump didn't destroy the US, and while I disagreed with policies like his tax cuts on the national credit card, I was fully aware that they would lead to a short-term boom, with the price having to be paid down the road. His continued attempt, however, to overthrow a lawful election, WAS and IS an attempt at destroying the US as we know it. Anything Biden has done pales in comparison.

 

It happened during the Iraq war in the 2000s, as well, along with the desecration of veterans' graves and war memorials. It's become a bad habit in certain circles.

 

Can you explain it then? What caused use to go from "greatest ever" to "beyond saving" in a matter of months. Why is the sky falling?

 

I have never said beyond saving. Where did you get that? The O'Biden regime is doing it's best in the short time it has left to drag us down the slippery slope in every direction. There hope is they can make the American people cry out, "Please government, come save us! We want a National police force to quell the racist bunch! Free healthcare and cradle to grave security for all. The elite can tell us how to live! We give you our liberty for security!!!!" Problem is, their days are numbered. The backlash just might overwhelm them and set them back several decades. That is my hope!
