I am Canadian and I try my best to be objective but.....

I can't help but form an opinion of what is going on in this USA election.

If I was American, my first choice would be The Donald....
my #2 choice would be Bernie......

and I am running into evidence that MANY Bernie supporters
    WILL NOT vote for Hillary!

This trend could be large enough to FLIP THE DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION?

    http://www.politicalforum.com/lates...-bernie-supporters-will-not-vote-hillary.html
Is the Rabbi correct that one third of Bernie supporters will NOT vote for Hillary?

Is Rabbi Shaul Marshall correct that one third of Bernie's supporters WILL NOT vote for Hillary Clinton on November 8?

    In my opinion.....

Bernie needs to learn from the level of courage that The Donald
is showing in regards to getting to the heart and core of the real
    problems in the USA economy.

Sanders needs to return to the authentic issues of the old Left that despised the bureaucracy.
He should come out against the modern fascist "left", and align himself with the super majority of Americans who now fear Big Government. Big Government socialism is obsolete.

    Well said.

That could well be the key to his turning the whole thing around at the last moment.

This is exactly what I think as well.

Up until now, Senator Clinton was laughing at both Bernie, and The Donald, but her
time for laughing sure seems to be coming to an end.

Surely............ only a small percentage of Hillary's supporters can continue to think
that she could beat The Donald on November 8.

Look at this discussion from a few months back. In the light of today's tragic events in Dallas,
many Americans are going to realize that there is logic in this proposal.

The Donald certainly doesn't play by the rules of political correctness...... but all of us
have to wonder to what degree his proposed solutions .... on at least some issues.....
may be the only response that can actually work.

Trump will draw far more support from the antiestablishment left than any other RP candidate. I found this interesting analysis from Think Progress.

“Look, the war is a disaster. The war should not have been entered into,” he told the Dallas Morning News in a July 2004 interview. “To lose all of those thousands and thousands of people, on our side and their side. I mean, you have Iraqi kids, not only our soldiers, walking around with no legs, no arms, no faces. All for no reason. It is a disgrace.” The Surprisingly Strong Progressive Case For Donald Trump BY JUDD LEGUM JUL 25, 2015 8:57 AM
    http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2015/07/25/3684164/case-for-donald-trump/

If the DP nominates Clinton the left will look very closely at Trump, and Trump should draw out Sanders' thoughts on cutting failed programs and agencies. As you know I think giving the money back to the people would attract voters from across the spectrum.

Teachers and parents would love to see that happen at the local/state level for schools. The public schools have become dead end for children and their teachers. "Power to the Parents!" Hs a nice ring. ;-)

Rational decisive positive change is politically feasible now if the populist candidates start to think even bigger.

America... does much better in a war when you go in.........
after one or more of your allies show sufficient concern
about that war to go in first.

Obvious examples are WWI and WWII where Canada, Australia and other
allied nations were already there, giving their lives....... then when America came in
with a huge amount of weaponry and boots on the ground..........

you were backing up allies who already proved that they felt the conflict was worth
    getting into.........

A significantly different atmosphere prevailed in Vietnam........

and to a degree in Iraq and Afghanistan.......

One of the huge mistakes, in my opinion, that America made in Iraq is that
our Kurdish allies..... seemed to be the group who truly were willing to risk their lives
to defend their own citizens........ but due to our alliances with Turkey...... we did not
back the Kurds up quite like probably should have been done.

Several years ago an online Kurdish friend of mine wrote that to his people.......
President George W. Bush was a hero.......
and the American and allied soldiers who gave their lives breaking his people out from under Saddam.....

their sacrifice will not be forgotten.

I personally believe that support for an independent Kurdish state should be a significant part of
American and NATO policy in the Middle East.

We could at least give the Kurds the kind of support they need to defend themselves against their enemies. Current leadership will not do that.

The State Department will probably go into open revolt. The grand strategy apparently imagines that Iran, Iraq, and Turkey will all be our allies.

Yes..... I also am hopeful that a change of administration

could well result in support for an independent Kurdish state.

We should start by making the Kurdish controlled part of Iraq far more secure.

    I totally agree.

The Kurdish people impress me as being another group of
people whose culture would incline them toward democracy.

The best shot at in the Muslim world, so long as they do not follow the model of the 21st century USG.

The only way to increase LEGAL immigration from Mexico and the rest of South America is to
    decrease ILLEGAL immigration.

    http://www.politicalforum.com/current-events/449323-donald-trump-campaign-film-cartel-land.html
The Donald Trump campaign and the film "Cartel Land."
Drug cartels seem to have a great deal of power over the elected officials in Mexico.

If...… The Donald's supporters will view this film and become more well informed a lot of good things could result from this.

For one thing..... this could put pressure on Mexico that results in the release of Dr. Jose Mireles!

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cartel_Land
My wife is from Ecuador and I would love to see The Donald come out with a plan to significantly INCREASE LEGAL immigration from Mexico and South America after that wall is built.

This might be a great way to steal much of the thunder that his opponents seem to have at this time?

He sure deserves credit for his stance against Monsanto.......
but that may have been the primary reason why he was pushed out.

And a wall isn't going to do that. What is going to decrease illegal immigration is crushing fines on companies that hire them. Start by doing percentage fines of the companies income and then keep increasing from there.

His full throated endorsement of Clinton calls into question the legitimacy of his entire campaign. The Sanders activists I know feel betrayed - first by the DP and now by Sanders himself. His endorsement discredits him without helping Clinton. The DP is drifting toward the shoals.

True..... I didn't know much about him at the time that I did this poll......
I should do some research on him.

What is his position on organic farming, GMO's and those type of insecticides that are almost certainly killing millions of bees?

I would guess that it would depend on if the insecticides have proven to harm people. He would leave the companies alone as long as no harm is done and they are following the laws. If they are harming people then the states would have to step in and stop it or the federal government would have to intercede if the states were unwilling. But first and foremost he would make sure that what ever was done it was in accordance with his Constitutionally granted powers.
