Can Only Hatred Explain Why Democrats Would Pursue a Doomed Impeachment?

LOL. It's a good book, but like the Democrat case for impeachment, could have been condensed. In the Democrats' case it would read, we can't beat Trump in 2020 so we need to impeach and remove him or at least damage him.

Unlike many, I'm watching to make that determination for myself. I only wish senators did the same.

Yes, it's hatred. But, it's about that Trump is taking away what they dream about. They dream about a fascist state in which they have control of everything. They won't call it fascist, they will call it progressive, but they are synonymous. Schiff said it all when he said that Americans can't be trusted with the vote. They think they're entitled to authoritarian control, the path Obama was taking the country. We escaped when we kicked Killary to the Kurb.

So let me see if I got this straight:

    - The GOP said the House Dems had to produce eye witnesses and not "hearsay"....yet they said nothing when Trump ordered non-compliance from the very people who fit that bill...and then the GOP said that the eye witnesses to Trump's surrogate Giuliani's chicanery wasn't good enough.

    - The GOP said that the House hearing was unfair because the Dems would not allow them to break the very law they once championed regarding the whistle blower's anonymity.

    - The GOP Senate leadership clearly stated that not only would they not allow any level of impeachment, but would be taking their marching orders direct from the very person under scrutiny in the White House.

    - GOP officials/senators/congressmen state that while what Trump did was wrong, it did not reach the level of impeachment. Funny that, being what Lindsey Graham said during the Clinton impeachment hearings: https://heavy.com/news/2019/09/lindsey-graham-twitter-impeachment/

And the topper is that according to the GOP's legal scholars and lawyers, we must allow a President who did "wrong" in trying to coerce a foreign gov't to give lip service in throwing shade on his political opponent to run for office again....NEVER ADMITTING WRONG DOING AND CONTINUINGLY PURSUING THE SAME AGENDA...so the people can decide by voting....a vote where only the electoral vote counts.

The House not being able to destroy the separation of powers to get what they want is officially legally known as tough s--t. Getting testimony from people who heard what Giuliani though Trump might have meant is called...... wait for it...... hearsay.

There is no such law that absolutely protect's a whistle blower's anonymity.

The Senate has no say in any House impeachment.

Graham said a president does not have to be convicted of a crime to be impeached. Clinton clearly committed a crime -- but Trump has not -- but a sitting president cannot be criminally prosecuted.

The cacophonous meme not withstanding, Trump did not coerce Ukraine to do anything, did not ask Ukraine to get "dirt" on a former US official, and said nothing about the 2020 election.

    That's 0 for 5.
