Should he win, he will provide the senate with another opportunity to wallow in moral angst while they decide whether to first seat and investigate then remove him. As you may recall, there were several voices in the republican caucus to do the same with Moore, but after Trump gave his blessing to Moore , those voices vanished.

 

Sounds like a perfect candidate for political office. He will fit right in with likes of Mueller.

 

They are both Republicans, the only dif being Blankenship is a criminal.

 

And yet the state Democrats still had to torpedo his campaign with indefensible claims only made after he coulsld not be removed from the ballot as the republicans would have done in order to win. Just as they tried on a national level with Trump and the collusion thing.

 

The electorate is the jury, Bluesguy, and it bent Judge Moore over and legitimately found him wanting.

 

Well when the Dems made sure the Republicans didn't have a choice to replace Moore before they came out with the indefensible claims to smear him there goes the jury. But what did the Dens get? Seems Jones is supporting supporting some Republican policies including supporting current nominee for Sec State.

 

You are right; Moore's claims were indefensible. The law passed by the Republican majority of Alabama locked Moore in not the Dems.

Yes, he was beaten for making them.

Jones is a far better senator than could have been Moore, so it worked out for the State of Alabama, the electorate, and the US Senate.

Its state election law what are you talking about? The Dems specifically waited until after the date that Moore could be removed from the ballot to come out with the claims.

I don't consider things just working out as an excuse for what the Democrats did in denying a fair and honest election. Its not the first time in the state they have pulled such attempts to win an election when they knew they were going to lose. Is this really how you want our elections to be held. I mean look what they did to try and defeat Trump and what they continue to DJ to get political power they can't win at the ballot box with their ideas.

The GOP nominated Moore, who is a known nut job that was thrown off the bench twice for ignoring the law. There were several other candidates who could have easily won the Senate seat for the GOP, but they insisted on voting for the nutbag. He got beat which is fortunate for the US Senate, The GOP p, the state of Alabama and America. He would have been an embarrassment and a spectacle. It looks like the GOP voters are starting to wise up as they roundly rejected nominating another ridiculous idiot, Blankenship in West Virginia.

We have found out this month and last about Stormy Daniels and how Cohen paid her $$$ from an LLC that corporate money was paid to for lobbying Trump.

Both Russian oligarchs and Cohen have used the same LLC.

We found out this week that Russians also removed registered voters from voter rolls during the election.

Yes, and it is unfortunate but true that for those stuck in the lower levels of all of those quality of life indices, it is almost impossible for them to improve their situation or that of their children. Almost all members of the professional class in any state in the USA are children of members of the professional class. Very few people in our country move up the ladder.

 

That some states are better-educated and more prosperous than others, and that there is a systemic disparity of opportunity within all states is undeniable.

 

And he didn't get beat because of issues, he got beat because of unsubstantiated accusations that were made after the date the GOP could have replaced him on the ballot as they would have done so since he did NOT have the support of state GOP. You really are not well educated on how Moore even got the nomination to begin with.

That is the only way it seems Democrats can win although it usually doesn't work as when they paid a prostitute to make phony claims about a candidate for Lt. Governor and now they are trying to create a sex scandal with the current governor seeking reelection.

And most certainly Jones did not when because the Alabama voters supported him on the issues, he would never have won had the election been about the issues. And yes we know there were powers behind the scenes at the DOJ and FBI who were working to ensure Trump would not win and then once he did that they could get him removed from office.
