Yes. I don't know what that guy was thinking about. Any search will find all sorts of these cases, including ones from the past.

The RCC has real reason to be concerned, especially if the laws on time limits are changed - which they absolutely should be.

Plus who knows? Maybe the laity will catch morality and drive the offenders from the Church regardless of when the crime occurred.

It's startling to me how long this has gone on without those sitting in the pews demanding change.

I can see how it would seem that way, but I understand why they are not doing more:

They just are not that religious and just don't care or want to get involved. Church for most of them is just a dog and pony show...an old chore they never paused to think about ....

The poster that I was responding to was talking about cases where Christians impose their beliefs on society.

I think we only have two to go, "Thou shall not kill" and "Thou shall not steal" and we will have eliminated Christianity from our government and lives.

Considering that Clinton was himself guilty of that, I can't figure out if you're just making a joke! Did the Clinton administration actually legalise adultery?

I guess it remains useful as the means of obtaining a divorce, but other than that does government every prosecute/convict and incarcerate anyone for adultery?

Well I've never looked into it. I would assume that it would never have been a felony offense that would put someone behind bars. Anyway, the commandments don't prescribe a jail sentence if they are not followed, so I don't think that should be the standard. If "thou shalt not commit adultery" can in fact still be used in a court of law for the purpose of divorce settlements, then I would say that we have THREE to go before we will have eliminated Christianity from our government and lives!

So for some reason this pedophilia business of NY Catholic dioceses, just as Pennsylvania dioceses; which were issued subpoenas is not from imposing Christian beliefs on society where better never than late due to statutes of limitations sanctions these pedophiles as has been done for their second coming of this Christian Nation thru 9/11 with it's patriot act lynching enforcement ……

I think I might have already posted to this question but The Holy Bible suggests to be liberal more than conservative.

Isaiah 32:8 "But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand."

Proverbs 11:25 "The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself."

2 Corinthians 9:13 "Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;"

James 1:5 "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."

No, it is a good example, as they were only defending it due to a majority of the government being christians. Of course, as any moron would understand, they would not stand in defense of a religious symbol sponsored by the State, if that religious symbol we're a pentagram, or the star of david. Use your head, dude.

NIV: "But the noble make noble plans,
and by noble deeds they stand."

Suggesting that "liberal" means the same in today's world of hyper politicalization is ridiculous.
Again, "liberal" has new meaning that does not match the KJV.

Today, the Republican party shows no interest of any kind in those of working class, let alone those who are unable to work. And, the idea that this need could be handled in today's world by individual participation is obvious nonsense.

I have no idea why you got excited by the last verse.

It's rather simple. If you want to keep up with the world, that is your right. If you want to keep up with God, that is also your right. What does liberal mean in The Holy Biblical sense?

In your opinion, what would 'liberal' mean?

Liberal, in Holy Biblical terms is:

    5081. nadib
    Strong's Exhaustive Concordance
free, liberal things, noble, prince, willing hearted
From nadab; properly, voluntary, i.e. Generous; hence, magnanimous; as noun, a grandee (sometimes a tyrant) -- free, liberal (things), noble, prince, willing ((hearted)).

    Naseeb, in Arabic means:

Naseeb (also spelled Nasiib Nasib or Nasip) (Arabic: نصيب‎) is an Arabic term used in many languages including Indonesian, Malay, Persian, Turkish, Pashto, Sindhi, Somali, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali and Punjabi it means destiny or fate. The literal meaning in Arabic is "share", but it came to be understood as "one's share in life", and thus their destiny.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naseeb

Galatians 5:22-23 states: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."

And when love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance is shared and without having any fear of any negative repercussion, the fruit of The Spirit becomes, 'Liberal'.

Remember that we cannot store for ourselves on this earth to the points after our death. We can only hold onto and keep those things until death. After death, everything we own or have owned or are owed, become as if they were never owned, or owed since we ourselves are not even around to 'glory' in them. And when Eternity comes, those earthly things will not be with us for Eternity.

Our BMWs and Mercedes will not be there. Our Jet planes and yachts will not be there. Our millions and/or billions of US dollars will not be there. But what WILL be there as a basic foundation are: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance and MOST definitely, The Spirit.

Who is The Spirit? Our own 'soul'?

John 4:24 "God is a Spirit:..."

Genesis 1:2 "...And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."

Like I said... You can choose to keep up with the world... or you can choose to keep up with God. But remember that Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."

A question: If you were 75 years of age, which is a long time to have seen alot of goods and bads in the World, how many days do you think 75 YEARS are?

in 75 years there are 27,375 - 24 hour days, not deducting for leap years.

Psalm 103:15-16 "As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more."

    What does this mean?

It means 1 Peter 1:24 "For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:"

The glory of man... When was the last time we celebrated our great grandparents' birthdays? They are as if they never were..

When you live as you did while you were living among them, parents or grandparents or great grandparents, even after they are 'gone', they still are within you. It's only when you leave the path you shared with each other while alive that they begin to fade away.

And there are many many opportunities, especially today, to leave family and homes for a piece of the World's 'glory'.

And so the question.. What's more important? Putting a bullet into another human being or staying close to family?

Don't forget that not every human being who has separated themselves from family are living la vida 'glory'. Some, maybe even many, are living la vida 'loco', or criminal.

There are only a 'few' FAMILIES that are entirely criminal. Very few entire Families.

Only a few families that are entirely criminal in a world with a Human Population of 7.648 Billion with a high life expectancy at 80 years, in the world in the year 2018.

What is the cost/revenue ratio for an 80 year life of 'glory'?

Matthew 16:26 "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?"

1 Corinthians 9:25 "And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible."

    temperate:

    1467. egkrateuomai
    Strong's Exhaustive Concordance
    contain, be temperate.
Middle voice from egkrates; to exercise self-restraint (in diet and chastity) -- can(-not) contain, be temperate.

Meaning: It's okay to drink wine.. but be 'self restraining' with wine when it comes to prayer and the life of prayer.

1 Peter 4:7 "But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer."

    sober:
    3525. néphó
    Strong's Exhaustive Concordance
to be sober, to abstain from wine
Of uncertain affinity: to abstain from wine (keep sober), i.e. (figuratively) be discreet -- be sober, watch.

Abstain, have self control/restraint, with wine.. so that you may watch unto prayer.. lest you forget what prayer means..

"Of all now the end has drawn near. Be clear-minded therefore, and sober for the purpose of prayers,"

Πάντων δὲ τὸ τέλος ἤγγικεν. σωφρονήσατε οὖν καὶ νήψατε εἰς προσευχάς·

Pantōn de to telos ēngiken. sōphronēsate oun kai nēpsate eis proseuchas .

OK. This seems monumentally jumbled to me. It appears you're logic in what you pick from your concordance is significantly biased. You still don't give a definition of liberal as per the context.

Why are you switching to Arabic?

My Hans Wehr Arabic dictionary translates نصيب‎ the noun as fate, lot, luck, share.

I'd point out that ناضِب (naadib) means something very different - dried up, barren.

You give a variety of spellings and a whole range of languages. I'd point out that Arabic is especially sensitive to spelling, as words are constructed of roots and vowels that have specific purposes in the grammar. But, I don't know why you went to Arabic in the first place.

You might even be agreeing with my previous post!

But, I can't even tell that.

Then you tell me about your religion. I know your religion more than you are guessing. But, again it isn't the issue here.

Can you prove that the majority of the government were Christians? You think that everyone who recognises and values the strong Christian heritage of the country, is a Christian? Surely you can't be serious.

Of course, with enough research. Look dude, you are embarrassing yourself. Any child with Google can find copious examples of chritians trying to wedge their nonsense into policy and law. Once such d1ck is currently our vice president. Go waste someone else's time.
