These sanctions against Russia are probably opening the door to the days of widespread thefts of intellectual property, since if entire large countries with the capacity to steal such property are economically severed from other countries, there is no reason for people in Russia to not steal western IP and conversely, even though some might be offended by the suggestion, nothing to stop the west from stealing Russian IP either. This will also benefit China quite a bit since they will likely be allowed to play off both sides.

This is basically cancel culture on an international scale. Ukraine gets invaded and the people who encouraged a coup but refused to defend the new government with troops say "you're being bad? No more Marvel superhero movies for you!" as if any of these sanctions actually help Ukraine's military situation. It's like taking away an entire country's Facebook privileges is supposed to stop a war or something.

But wait, it gets worse. Poland and Hungary are getting their EU funds cut, even though they are receiving the most Ukrainian war refugees. This is because those countries voted to do things that other EU countries, such as the Netherlands (who gives a **** about the Netherlands?), didn't like. So given the choice between strategically important, historically somewhat Russia-friendly countries and the Netherlands, the EU chooses the Netherlands, I mean what the hell is that?

If Poland and Hungary stop getting EU funds, you can bet that the next step is that they stop giving money to the EU. This would probably push them towards working with other partners, such as Russia. Anyone with half a brain should be able to see where this might be headed.

As if this wasn't bad enough, there appears to be serious discussion about sanctioning the world's most populated country, India. I know that people usually don't worry a lot about what India is doing but this is literally the world's biggest country, they are smart enough to develop and manage their own nuclear weapons and they just want to be neutral in this Russia thing but some people aren't OK with neutral. So they might want to encourage Russia, a nuclear power and the world's largest country by land mass, to develop closer ties with India, another nuclear power and the world's largest country by population. Throw in Poland and Hungary as bonus points and presumably even more development with China and you have an axis that would easily be able to rival the west and Japan. The middle east didn't even take Biden's call about more gas production, so it would be fair to assume that they would cooperate with these countries too.

This is ultimately just the growth of cancer culture, I mean cancel culture, into an international phenomenon. It's virtue signaling to pretend that pulling Coca-Cola and Playstation from Russia will do anything to help Ukraine, yet there seems to be no end in sight to these idiot moves.
