Can't drive, can't buy beer, or cigarettes, or porn, or lottery... But a rifle?... No problem!

Your point is way off target. Are you somehow under the mistaken assumption that no 13-year old can buy beer, cigarettes, porn, lottery tickets, and a raft of other adult things?

I remember dozens of friends when I was in the military who couldn't legally buy alcohol. If someone can serve in the military, they should be able to buy a drink just like any other adult.

This is from someone who very rarely drinks alcohol. I don't think it's very smart to drink and carry on at that age, but they should have the right to make their choices.

Back in early 71 I was a short timer at Camp Pendleton. I was just a 20 year old Sergeant.

One afternoon when liberty call was sounded four of us decided to go into Oceanside. One of my buddies was 21 and we got a case if beer and walked onto the beach and started consuming the beer.

Along comes Oceanside PD. Being Marines no ticket for drinking in public was issued, instead they called the MP's.

Off to the Provost Marshal's Office and they contacted our battalion OD who sent the Duty NCO to pick us up drive us back to Las Pulgas.

Next morning in formation I was expecting to get "office hours" "standing before the man"
Reduction in rank, fine and confinement to the base for a month.

Instead the company CO appeared and made it clear if your under age and want to drink don't do it in Oceanside.

Instead get shitfaced at either the EM Club or NCO Club.

He said as far as the Marine Corps is concerned, if you're old enough to be sent to Vietnam, you're old enough to drink beer and the base commander decided that they will not be enforcing California's drinking laws aboard Camp Pendleton.

Today there are no EM Clubs or NCO Clubs but the officers still have their Officers Club.

The EM Clubs have been replaced with Taco Bells, Burger Kings and Pizza Huts.

You have done no such thing. You posted links to wingnut media that has been proven to be dishonest in the past. But that's irrelevant. There is absolutely no need for HBO to deceive. They can just send a boy-actor into a gun show, and the boy will buy a gun legally. What need is there to create a hoax?

Any person under 21 can not legally purchase a handgun. Any person under 18 can not legally buy a long gun. Where are you getting lost?

I don't know, but it's much more difficult than buying a gun.

Is this one of your ideas for gun control? I know of no one who was able to go out and buy a gun at thirteen. I do not know of any thirteen year old who was involved in a shooting after going out and buying a gun. I do know of thirteen year olds who smoke and drink and view porn. Not sure about lottery tickets, but in my state that would be illegal. Smoking and drinking kills more people than guns when you include accidents and harm to their health.

No violation can be proven from the video. It is selectively edited.

But it is against federal and state law to sell to an underage person.

Sad but true. They should have known future generations would turn into mindless morons lacking in personal responsibility.

We have proven we are incapable of upholding the freedoms they fought for.

And you expected to see as many teens involved in a shooting as teens who like porn?

Uhhhh.... Yet another one who makes claims about some "law" but won't QUOTE it. You're like the fifth one on this thread.

Why are people on the right incapable of backing up their claims with hard facts?

You understand that you, me, and everyone else reading this thread knows you’ve been quoted numerous laws showing it’s illegal to sell to a minor right? Here is a list for all 50 states. https://lawcenter.giffords.org/gun-laws/state-law/50-state-summaries/minimum-age-state-by-state/

Here is federal law. https://www.justice.gov/sites/default/files/usao-me/legacy/2012/06/01/Summary of Federal Firearms Laws - 2010.pdf

Why do you pretend you weren’t quoted numerous laws that prohibit the sale of firearms to minors? Nobody is fooled by that.

You're welcome to believe HBO's hoax video and probably do so because you don't like firearms and you've never been to a gun show in VA.

I've been to innumerable VA gun shows and they require the cost of admission and an ID just to get into the building. Unaccompanied minors are not allowed in the building without an adult so the film makers must have enabled in some way(s) both the kid's admission and "purchase".

That's simply the way it works at VA gun shows regardless of whatever hoax HBO was trying to perpetuate.

Stop destroying the alt-leftie's fantasies. They want it to be real, therefore it must be so, even if it takes them 49 posts to pound that false meme into your head.

Actually most framers feared such and some would have predicted that future morons would tip over the constitutional republic.

If you were really interested in "hard facts" i would think you would find them yourself. That way you get the "facts" from a source of your choosing. Chances are if you don't like the "facts" from the opposing view you will disregard and/or dispute them.

Let me google that for you.

I have not vetted the site but it appears to not have an overly biased ideological agenda.

WTF? I ask you to quote the law that is applicable in this case, according to you, and you send me to an article on a British website????

    Quote the law!!!!!

Forget it! You won't quote it anyway....

My apology for my lack of clarity. My primary intent was that if you are truly interested in the law you would find it yourself. Perhaps im odd but that's what i would do.

I pointed you to what appears to be an unbiased site that states
You are correct, i won't quote the law. I will leave that up to you. Quote it from whatever source you prefer. As a courtesy here is a source you may find favorable with both federal and state laws broken down in an easy to follow format.

    Excellent page.

From the page that you brought up:

    Federal Law:
"Unlicensed persons may sell, deliver, or otherwise transfer a long gun or long gun ammunition to a person of any age."

STATE MINIMUM AGE LAWS THAT EXTEND BEYOND FEDERAL LAW
Virginia (where the video was made)
Purchase of a Long Gun: [No modification to the above]
So if your purpose was to prove my point: Good job!
