I guess the Biden administration will have to ignore and marginalize these people, work with reasonable ones and just wait for the wing nuts to regain their sanity when they realize they are being left behind.

But of course, that has nothing to do with what's happening. It's inconvenient, and many politicians are using the pandemic abusively instead of wisely helping their citizens- but on the overall scale of current issues, the resistance to masks and distancing is miniscule. The tolerance and excusing of riots, the tolerance of massive censorship, the attacks on police and a hundred more things like that are massive.

 

Wait a minute. People who have burned Minneapolis and several other cities, seized areas and declared their own country, looted the miracle mile of luxury stores in Chicago and resurrected racism are "peaceful protestors".

Since the incident in Washington lacked all the violence the left ignored and excused, and was a legitimate protest involving hundreds of thousands, the left of course decided that a couple hundred getting out of control is a vicious riot. They do of course know the difference; it's doubtful they would bring home road apples if sent to gather eggs. Lacking that level of ignorance, they obviously do know what they are doing and are responsible for it.

The inability or unwillingness to see the moral corruption of those you side with makes you look morally corrupt- and strips you of any credibility. Our situation was never really about Trump- it was about Trump standing in the way of people who have been intent on destroying your country for a long time. They have been at war with the American dream for decades, and with Obama's help thought they were close to
destroying it permanently. IF Trump wasn't a threat to that, he would have been just a temporary nuisance issue.

The guilty always slander the ones they attack, trying to justify what they have done. Yup, Trump made me do it. He knows we hate the way he wears his hair, so it's his fault.

That’s fine by me. No problem at all. Religious liberty is for all Americans and thanks to Trump the GOP has moved from being an establishment blue blood elitist oriented party to a multi racial working and middle class America first populist Conservative party comprised mostly of theistic believers. Trump got a higher minority voter percentage of the vote than any republican since 1960 and the GOP congressional delegation has more women and minority community members than ever before. There are Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, Jewish Americans, Arab Americans, African Americans, and native Americans in our congressional delegation now. The days of the GOP being a party for older white men with lots of money are over and a bunch of those became democrats once their Lincoln project failed. We are Trumps party now.

Trump is a criminal. Hopefully, he gets locked up. Tomorrow, the process starts for his second impeachment. He will be impeached again by Wednesday.

Trump is done. It's over. He doesn't get to make any calls. You can choose to follow this castrated criminal or make amends with the rest of the nation. You can begin by denouncing Trump and apologizing for ever supporting him. Lacking that, you're not worthy of reconciliation.

I agree. Much of the violence over the past year has probably been mostly the work of anarchists. I think they thrive in chaos. While peaceful protestors protest, they smash and run.
