The anti-gun left will tell you causation does not equal correlation. If the numbers had been different, however, and the murder rate had -increased- 14%, they'd tout it as proof that more guns = more murder. Pretty easy to figure those people out.
LOL!!! murder rate in NYC has dropped like 50% and yet the number of concealed carry permits has gone down.
The Crime Prevention Center uses FBI statistics, John Lott only reprints their numbers. Argue the facts with them. I forget, do the ignorant lefties like or dislike the FBI these days? It seems to change every other day.
I love the LOL's They make one seen so smart. NYC has virtually issued only a handful of carry permits so let's issue some and see if we can bring their murder rate down another 50%. Every life matters you know.
According to the VPC... For every gun used to commit suicide, 3 are used in self-defense. For every gun used to commit murder, 8 are used in self-defense.
crime is down all over the country over the last 15 years, in many places where gun rights have not shifted at all.. why? mandatory sentencing for drug possession, 3 strikes your out rules, and "broken windows" policies.
