Only in modern-day America, under the Democratic-controlled U.S. House of Representatives, is the basic proposition that federally subsidized public housing should benefit American citizens and legal residents slammed as “despicable” and “damaging.”

Those are the hysterical words used by Democratic Rep. Carolyn Maloney of New York City to condemn the proposal discussed by Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson on Tuesday to ban government aid to residents of the agency who shelter illegal immigrants.

The rule change would end a Clinton-era regulation that allowed immigrants to obtain aid without having to disclose whether they were here legally. The Trump plan could free up an estimated 32,000 public housing slots, according to the department, as 1.6 million applicants nationwide wait to be considered.

Democratic Rep. Juan Vargas of San Diego County couldn’t believe Carson could be so “mean-spirited” in prioritizing law-abiding people over law-breaking ones. https://amac.us/carson-hounded-by-open-borders-liberals-for-putting-americans-first Carson is right! It is good to provide housing to poor Americans. Americans should not be on waiting lists while illegal alien invaders occupy their homes to be.

Democrats are obviously America :unclesam:last on this issue. Visa overstayers, trespassers, common criminal alien enemy invaders all get priority over poor Americans by the democrat :democrat:party.

The really funny part is that most people who are in this country illegally are white. But conservatives focus almost completely on people from Mexico and Central and South America.

The level at which white illegals are overlooked is so bad that I bet most far righters don't even realize that Trump's wife was illlegal. She worked in the US as a model for several months, without a visa, using a fake name. She was already living in the US when she applied for the visa which she was supposed to have already had before she got on the plane to fly here. She flew here originally on a 30 day temporary visa, and then got a modeling jobs where she was paid under the table.

Interesting that people who sneak into our country and disappear have been counted by you by race.

    Good response, and accurate.
The left simply discounts credible research they don't like, and include marginal statements that imply they position they support. Self- deception; gains nothing.

Because we don't/can't count every person who sneaks into our country the estimated numbers must be extrapolated from the numbers of people actually caught. But common sense tells me we have no idea how many illegals are here.

Last "estimate" jumped the count from 11 million to more around 20 million. But it's true, we don't know- it's hard to count what you can't see, and can't control because you have so many stupid people confusing the issue.

Liberals will try to spin it as illegals from Ireland which has a booming economy and Russia which has anything but that. But neither are on the top ten of the list above.

All "immigration" policies put in place by the right focus almost exclusively on Mexico. Trump literally wants to take funding away from agencies who combat human trafficking by white Europeans (Russian Ukrainians, Armenians, etc) to pay for the wall. He claims the wall will magically stop 100% of human trafficking, even though well over 90% of human trafficking DOESN"T cross the Mexican border.

Globalists don’t recognize the nation-state concept.

If they had their way, the U.S. would have one billion people and look much like India.

Trump wants to focus his immigration policies on the places where the VAST MAJORITY of illegal immigrants are coming from. The absolute madman!

And the right agrees with him. They must be insane!

What is your obsession with white illegal immigrants? Illegal immigration from Europe isn't even a blip on the radar.

Your notion that "most illegal immigrants are white" is beyond dumb. It's "broke the internet" dumb.

I heard he was lambasted the hardest for not being familiar with an acronym of some activist group. Shows you the level of some of our finest Representatives.

    Trafficking is one of
Several reasons Trump gave for building the wall. He never said building the wall would stop 100% of trafficking or 100% of illegal drug crossing. It will reduce the flow of both as well as general illegal person crossing.

I would guess that well over 80% of human trafficking doesn't cross ANY American border.

There are over 1500 entry points commonly used by illegals, human traffickers, drug smugglers, arms smiugglers, etc...which are NOT along the Mexican border. If Trump's wall is build, it will take about $50-75 billion dollars a year to fully man and maintain it. This means that money would have to be taken way from federal agencies who enforce immigration and smuggling laws, and away from securing those entry points which are not along the Mexican border. Trump's entire plan is based on the BS idea that if you build a giant wall on the miexican border, and throw all the money at it, it will magically end all illegal immigration, human trafficking (even though most human trafficking goes by ship and doesn't cross the border), drug and arms smuggling.

I have a better idea; instead of waiting lists, how about the government build enough housing so we don't have to have waiting lists period? Because even if illegal aliens were not applying there'd still be a waiting list for Americans and that's unconscionable.

Trump never said anything about the wall ending illegal immigration or trafficking, magically or otherwise. That's another of your bullcrap myths to put alongside your "white illegal immigrants" nonsense.

And that's not even almost "Trump's entire plan". Your lies are stacking up.

Please stop making nonsensical claims. You're embarrassing yourself.

You missed my point. My point was, to rephrase, that probably 80% of human trafficking coming into the US is coming across the Mexican border. When you claimed 90% of human trafficking does not cross the American-Mexican border you trusted we would ignore that the preponderance of human trafficking does not cross any American border.

Trump has never claimed that any or all of his immigration plans would end all illegal immigration, human trafficking (even though most human trafficking goes by ship and doesn't cross the border), drug and arms smuggling.

    Do ships not cross borders???????

Government build housing? That most often doesn’t work out well. It would be better to incentivize via opportunity zones and tax breaks the private building of lower income housing and then pay the landlord the difference between the market rate to rent the home or apartment and the subsidized rate the low income renter pays.

building housing comes with a one-time cost; paying subsidies is a long term constant cost.
