NEWS FLASH! Oversee of the Executive Branch embodied in it's Legislative Powers IS NOT oversee of the President. And the Constitution says nothing about congressional oversight.

There is this little thing called separation of powers which is a linchpin of the Constitution. Just like the courts have no oversight of the president or congress and the president has no oversight of congress or the courts, congress has no oversight authority of the courts nor the President.

Thanks for establishing that you did NOT read the link provided that EXPLAINED how Congressional OVERSIGHT of the Executive Branch works in REALITY?

And FTR the IMPEACHMENT of your BLOTUS is Congressional Oversight of your BLOTUS's CRIMES in action per the WORDING in the Constitution.

You really need to try to get the distinction between oversight and impeachment.

Sniveling about the niceties of a conscientious citizen reporting her suspicion of a crime in progress to proper authorities long after multiple expert witnesses have provided sworn testimony concerning the caper is as relevant as Fake Don whining that Ambassador Yovanovich had not hung his picture in the embassy. (Another of the narcissist's lies, but hardly earth-shattering.)

Dismissing the desperate attempt at avoidance, consider Fake Don's set up for seeking a "favor" from a foreign leader, announcing an investigation of an American citizen concerning whom there was and still is no evidence of corrupt activity.

The 1974 Impoundment Control Act says a U.S. president can’t unilaterally withhold funds designated for spending by Congress.

The Trump regime's Defense Department had certified that Ukraine was making good on anti-corruption benchmarks, a prerequisite for releasing the funds.

Some $250 million in security assistance the Pentagon had slated for Ukraine hadn't gone through. Another $140 million or so was mysteriously frozen as well.

Trump was skirting close to the deadline by which they he was legally required to alert Congress to an official reason for the freeze.

The whistleblower filed the complaint, after which Trump suddenly released the mysteriously-withheld funds

The White House can ask for a delay or halt to releasing allocated funds — but, under law, it has to tell Congress.

Were Trump not desperate to avoid providing testimony under oath, hellbent on gagging insiders in-the-know such as Bolton, Mulvaney, McGahn, Perry, Pompeo, et., etc.. etc, and concealing all relevant documentation that has been subpoenaed by Congress concerning his scam, it might be possible to get at the truth.

The truth is not where Trump wants to get to.

"This ambassador that everybody says is so wonderful,
she wouldn’t hang MY picture in the embassy, ok?
She’s in charge of the embassy. She wouldn’t hang it!"

    * Another of Fake Don's petty lies.
The Washington Post had reported in 2017 that pictures of Trump and Vice President Mike Pence still were not being displayed on thousands of federal buildings nearly eight months into Trump's term because the Government Publishing Office had yet to receive the images from the White House. The White House, in turn, said Trump and Pence hadn't decided when to sit for the portraits.

    :roflol:

    Huh?

Have you ever heard of "implied powers"?

Although the U.S. Constitution grants no formal, express authority to oversee or investigate the executive or program administration, oversight is implied in Congress’s array of enumerated powers.

Isn't it amazing how Biden insists the Ukraine fire the prosecutor investigating the company that gave his son an $80,000 a month job or they don't get a $Billion in US aid? What are the odds!?

Right Period. The President is an elected official and a co-equal he does not report to the Congress nor work for them.

Was that because Obama's point man in the Ukraine advised them to take that position?
