It really bothers me that anyone in uniform would behave in a way like what's described in this article...

It's bad enough to act like that in general...

But, when you are member of the military, and treat another member in this way, it is entirely unacceptable...

This is a prime example of how stupid some folks can be...

 

It would make more sense if you watched muslims kill your friends on a daily.....

She needs to man up, or get out.

 

It doesn't make sense, no matter how you try to justify it, and it disgraces the uniform that they all wear, including Sgt. Hosan...

She's already done that, and, apparently, was met with threats of reprisals by her superiors when it continued and she escalated it...

And, it shouldn't even come to that...

The people involved should be behaving professionally and not doing this in the first place...

I don't know that she called anyone anything, but it was known that she was Catholic...

Either way, like I said, she shouldn't have to defend herself against that sort of behavior...

The people involved were behaving in an extremely unprofessional manner, and that sort of behavior is not tolerable...

clue for you- saying "i'm not gay" is not nearly as effective as "sorry, better luck with someone else.".

 

Sigh. Wouldn't fly when I was in the Army. Most jackasses when I was in were that way, because soldiers like Naida Hosan were running circles around their asses. Either a sergeant or LT needs to kick the moron's heads in or get relieved of command. Stripping fellow soldiers of their esprit-de-corps is a surefire way of getting people killed.

 

So, Sgt. Hosan, who was subjected to harassment from fellow soldiers, is at fault here, and provoked the continuation of their highly unprofessional behavior by not saying (*)(*)(*)(*) you I'm Catholic?

You're one of those blame the victim types, I take it...

 

Not trying to play it down but from what i read you have 88 rape incidents per day , harassment is a problem but a minor one.
The meat is that she was verbaly abused for being "muslim sympathiser" , there you have an explanation why some guys pick up their gun and start shooting their fellow soldiers.

 

Sure, rape is more serious than harassment, but that's not the subject here...

 

her only fault is not smacking them upside the head...which i would expect from an E-7.

I'd guess that it's coming from some of her peers as well...

What happens then, and when you escalate it, and your superiors threaten you with reprisals?

E-7 is irrelevant...

Any military member, E-1 to E-9, O-1 to O-10, should not be behaving like this, nor should any other military member be subjected to it...

 

life is full of shoulds and should nots. if it would bad enough to quit over, it was bad enough to file ethnic harrasment charges over, and when her betters said no, write her congressmen. (it really does work)

 

We aren't hearing both sides of the story. She probably went out of the way to make trouble for herself.

 

She got a lawyer to deal with the attempted reprisal, and they backed off of that...

But I didn't see anything done about the main issue...

That type of behavior is unacceptable in the military...

Sounds like really unprofessional behavior. It shouldn't be tolerated by the command.

 

All I'm saying is there's two sides to every story, and all we've heard is her side.
