It sounds as if you ideology dictates that you oppose dried up old coots in DC seizing control of every womb in the nation, sanctioning the killing of Americans in cold blood, and attempting to federalize local law enforcement to distract from their assigned duties and, instead, do the feds' job for them.

    That's a start anyway.

As a pragmatist, I look to what has been demonstrated to work best. E.g., there are multiple examples of how advanced democratic nations have achieved medical coverage off all citizens at half the cost of the US. None is perfect, but even the most hidebound dogmatist can cite no alternative system that that is remotely as successful. They only spout their airy-fairy confections.

People who didn't want to buy it in the first place.

And everyone will lose their insurance connected with Obamacare because that government program is going belly up.

No. I worked in medical billing 1988-2012. Everyone does not pay the same.

NO sir I object to a tax code whose primary purpose is to micromanage economic behavior rather than to raise the necessary money to fund those government services we actually need. I object to a hyper regulatory system that is chiefly enforced by civil rather than criminal law, that essentially produces economic stagnation by crippling small businesses and Start ups, and seems largely to exist to protect the megacorps from any more competition than absolutely necessary.

It sounds as if you are in favour of intrusive Big Government seizing control of wombs, commandeering local law enforcement agencies, bloating a Pentagon that has just been found to waste $125 billion with $54 billion more of the taxpayer's money.

Meanwhile, as a pragmatist and a realist, I recognize that all the world's leading nations are progressive, democratic systems of governance that intelligently regulate capitalism, and maintain a successful, responsible social safety net that effectively serves all the People. Achieving universal health coverage at around half of what the US spends whilst leaving tens of millions uninsured is a stark example.

As an American who has established a business, I can personally attest to the burden of employer-administered medical plans as a restraint to entrepreneurship in the US. Even with the huge annual taxpayer subsidy, the bureaucratic burden imposed by government is not worth it, an administrative distraction that places American companies at a competitive disadvantage internationally.

Until Obama care the medical aspect was largely minuscule especially if your business had fewer than ten employees. It was everything else usually local or state in nature as much if not more than federal that screws things up.

Ayn Rand's fictional confections must afford you great comfort. I'll stick with the challenge of reality and what actually works best in that realm.

Never read Ayn Rand. If you are interested in what works best why are you supportive of government making all your choices for you?

You are confused. I have explained to you that I oppose dried up old geezers in Washington dictating reproductive decisions to American women, surrendering the power to kill citizens to the State, and federal authorities commandeering local law enforcement agencies for their own draconian agenda. I am an enthusiastic supporter of the People's opposition to extravagant walls, patriotic efforts to confront anthropogenic climate change, and I share their disgust at imperious politicians attempting to inflict religious discrimination on America's admirable history of immigration. I'm firmly ensconced among the majority of Americans who oppose the Washington power elite repealing the ACA rather than improving it, just as I endorsed the People defeating Washington's attempt to perpetuate their imposition of gender discrimination in marriage law.

I do not have a phobia regarding self-governance, however. It has worked well over the nation's history, and can work again. If government can emulate all the advanced nations on earth and provide medical coverage to all citizens at half the current cost, as a pragmatist, I say "Go for it!" Incrementally lowering the eligibility age for Medicare is a sensible approach - especially given that a president, a senate majority leader, and a house speaker, all of the same party, despite railing against the ACA for years, have proved impotent in replacing it.

Where ideological dogma fails, pragmatism offers hope.

I am going to add reading comprehension to your list.
I am going to add reading comprehension to your list. Or do you really not understand the difference between what is billed and what s actually paid?

So you want every decision made but whether or not to murder a child made by the government because frankly that's what you get by empowering government to deal with climate change.

You expose yourself as a statist who advocates for Big Government womb control. Most Americans support a woman's right to make her own reproductive decisions with the support and counseling of her family, friends, doctors, and spiritual advisers before a viable fetus has developed. If you want politicians to seize control and dictate from the instant of conception, that is your preference.

And, yes, I agree with most Americans that our shared climate should be protected from industrial pollution, and that is a proper roll of government: http://pollingreport.com/enviro.htm

You expose your self as a friend of murderers, note any time people are asked if they support unrestricted abortion on demand the questions loses by about two to one. CO2 is industrial pollution they way horse apples grow on Mars.

You may be for your "unrestricted abortion." I am not. I stand with patriotic Americans that oppose fanaticism of either extreme in the matter.

Keep your big, intrusive government out of the womb before gestation has reached the stage where an actual human has developed. Your need to label most Americans "murderers" because they do not subscribe to your radical view is an indication of just how alienated from the nation your are.

I'll ask my question again, so you can take an honest stab at actually addressing it:
Why should people not have to pay for their own insurance?

At least I do know the difference between what is billed and what is paid. Since you clearly don't your claims of having worked in healthcare are obviously not credible. And I am having a nice day exposing charlatans.

And when the CBO scored Obamacare they overestimated by 50% the number of people who would sign up and under estimated the cost! So,we should believe them now?
