Uhm, "no" the Nazis do not have the same rights I do. The Nazis have been hunted down on every corner of the globe. The Nazis have been condemned by the International Community. The Nazi memory isn't even welcome in Germany.

They are not hunted for being Nazis, but for crimes committed.

Yes, they do have the same rights as you do. Suppressing free speech is the charge laid against you.

There is no Confederacy today. Today we just have a bunch of racists that are desperate to start a race war trying to hide under the banner of the failed Confederacy to do so.

We'll know soon enough who was driving the Dodge Charger, but if you'd like another example there was that Dylann Roof punk that was rewarded with some Burger King.

Yeah but come on. Scalise on a ball field, some crazy guy with a knife on a bus in Oregon.

It doesn't matter to me who it is. I expect him to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

The 2nd Maine was near Seminary Hill on the first day where they fought a delaying action, confederates at one point closing to within 50 meters before they withdrew completely. They saw some action the second day, and were withdrawn the third day.

I think you're confusing US Nazi wannabes with real Nazis. The US Nazis are just a bunch of punk kids that hate anything and everything that isn't white. They are a hate group, they are losers, they are punks. No, I'm sorry but they are not equal to me.

They are not all Republican, this just happened to be a Unite the Right rally so the racist Democrats stayed home and left the racist Republicans to fend for themselves. Maybe those racist will see the wisdom that it is unwise to split the racist voice with trivial politics. Of course that's assuming that they posses any wisdom.

No, he really was not. He was a man of great personal character, and choosing to fight with the south was not at all an easy decision for him to make, but his conscience wouldn't allow him to do otherwise.

The US Nazis are the ones we're talking about. Even so, those hunted were on the grounds of being war criminals and not because they were Nazis.

These neos are legally equal to you as per the Constitution.

Yes, and they have a right to peaceful assembly and peaceful protest. Free speech does not mean free only if it is accepted by the majority. The white folks had the permit and the right to assemble. The other protesters were ordered to disperse. Then the violence started.

Ok... this rally started because of a bunch of civil war folks were opposed to the removal of the statue. One of them was affiliated with a white supremicist group and began an email campaign. Once the racists were on board, the "right" dropped out. It ended up being a white power thing which liked and kept the name. The "right" were not in attendance, except perhaps for me, who went to protest them.

What qualifies the group as white supremacist?

Is there a means you lefties accept by which white folks can honor their heritage without being "racist"?

We don't have to like it. We do have to understand it and follow the law.

There seems to be some people in here who are a little slow on the uptake. The White Supremacists didn't go to Charlottesville to peacefully assemble. They went there looking for trouble. It's that simple.
