I haven't bothered to read the full story because as we all know it's silly to jump on whatever is in the paper today because by next week the events that night will have changed a thousand times by a thousand different witnesses that will mostly be dismissed come trial time. Also we all pretty much know this cop will never see the inside of a prison cell, as the lives of black people in this country mean absolutely nothing and millions will break their necks to support the cop because..........well.......he's a cop. The family will make a statement and there will be the usual suspects that will come out in protest (that won't fix or change anything) the way they have since the 60's but of course they'll all be dismissed as media hounds looking for attention. Even though they've been on the front lines of almost every civil rights issue since the very beginning........while most of you weren't even born or cared to know anything about civil rights. Blacks have never, will not now, or ever in the future receive anything remotely resembling justice in this country. There have been Black Law students, Black Med students, Black Engineering students and even children not old enough to have records that were all killed, and none of their killers have yet to see what the inside of a prison cell looks like. But, hey, what the hell, they probably all had it coming to them right, they would have all wound up growing up to be nothing more than dirt bags so why be upset? I "had" a very dear uncle that owned his own business, raised two good kids and was in a solid marriage for close 23 years when a drunk driver mowed him down while he was walking along a road after the drunk closed a bar one night 20 years ago. The guy that ran him down (I will not mention his race) has yet to see the inside of a prison cell, my dead uncles wife has yet to see any justice. Just another day in the good ole US of A....... Banter back & forth amongst yourselves if you must but please don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining regarding the justice system in this country.
