I have to admit that this comes as a surprise.
It appears that this company is moving towards being more inclusive when it comes to their public image.
    Indeed a very interesting development.

I wasn't aware that the salvation army had issues with same sex marriage. Surprised that they haven't been blackballed over that.

I don't go their often because its a bit out of my way, but I like their chicken sammiches, and they have good fries, so honestly I don't care who they donate to.

    I do not know.
There were folks talking about it a while back.
It appears that they were donating money to anti LGBT causes.
The company seems to be evolving w/ the times.

Which is weird because they make more $/store than any other restaurant that has ever existed...

And they're not open on sundays.

Agreed, they had a successful business model before this controversy.
I can only surmise that they want to expand their market base to include the LGBT community and their allys.

They traded principles for a market, a small one.

All of those charities help people that need help.

They should have kept their principles. Not like they dont service that community. And that community just hurt the poor in their pride and lack of empathy.

That LGBT activist group are some hateful bastards.

    Nothing to be proud of.

More silencing of speech from the left.

They want to control what we think, do, and say.

    To do... what?

Become more profitable than the most profitable company already is?

.... and they just bent a knee. Bad business decision.

When they had all the uproar a few years back, me and a few of my staff went to Chick-fil-a for lunch. The counter protest had the line out the door and at least a hundred yards extended. We were going to show our support, but IN-AND-OUT was right next door, with an abnormally small line... so yeah... I had a Double Double Animal Style that day.

I am not a big fan of Chick-fil-a like my wife, but I go with her, now she is a hardcore Conservative, while I am a Conservatarian. Needless to day, I don't think I will have to eat another Chicken Sandwich! She's going to be pissed off with her hot little Irish self. =)

This was no doubt a business decision. I'm sort of disappointed to see Chic-fil-A sell out. I had more respect for them when they stood up for their ideology, whether or not I agreed with it. But money talks, so it is what it is.

Those were respected worthwhile charities, it's a shame.

"Inclusive" like "diverse" are just code words for the more left wing position.

For example, having an all black workforce is considered "more diverse" even though they're all the same.

OMG, it's a ****ing chicken fast food joint. Who gives a ****? I still ate them when they were donating funds to those groups. Their food is delicious. That's all that matters for christ's sake.

I swear society is filled with cry babies on both sides of the aisle.

losing half your customers is never a good business model, now they got themselves in a hard spot because the left no longer goes there, will the right stop going there because they are now being more inclusive... time will tell

silencing of speech? no one silenced their speech, they are free to say what they want, doesn't mean the left has to do business there if they are against equal rights for all
