Worldwatch President Christopher Flavin praised China’s growing commitment to renewables: “The combination of ambitious targets supported by strong government policies and entrepreneurial acumen may soon allow China’s renewable energy sector to ’leapfrog’ many developed nations.”

Yes, the same China that is eating our lunch and where the Trump family of grifters have registered numerous trademarks. As they **** on the USA the build their brand. The right wing is destroying the USA and all it was known and admired for. Sad times.

..and killing children for being female....

China does not have to have an economically viable energy source for its consumers, unlike the US.
Leave it to the left to cheerlead the communists...again.

You really are stuck in the past and still feeding on Trump rhetoric for which he dropped his pants to China once he is in office. Got his and family business trademarks, again, once in office however. It's called Quid Pro Quo and Trump again conned his base.

Our industry leaders will help drive innovation in renewable technologies, hopefully they can keep investing and keep pace with the Chinese or we might see them start purchasing from them if they can drive the costs down faster.

Did you even read the article and see how out to date the information is or do you still think its 2006? One never knows with the Anti-fa crowd.

As a person in the engineering world, I say stopping giving student visas to people from china.

They come here, they learn trade secrets, manufacturing secrets etc, then they go right back to china, where they compete with us.

We teach them, and we get NOTHING in return.

    It needs to stop

As predicted and expected, costs are falling at a good rate and are forecast to be the cheapest sources of energy sooner than expected.

Before trump the left hated the idea of america leading the world.

Now that trump doesn't want America to lead the world, the left is upset.

The left are a bunch of children

I don't think communist China is considered part of the free world. Besides, Merkel has already been crowned, and is working to dismantle NATO. Everythings under control.

It may have been the inevitable outcome as their middle class is growing and with their population size they are going to have a massive economy in the future. Trump and his supporters keep looking back never forward.

Pelosi thinks Bush is in office ... she's constantly caught refering to him while giving speeches, and during interviews.

Trump is not banning solar power the way obama tried to kill coal

If smart liberals with money want to open a solar energy factory no one is going to stop you

The reason they dont jump in with both feet is the risk of failure that exists in the private sector

That scares worshipers of the public sector and causes them to hate trump

China is not part of the Free World, that's the humor in my post. Trump is dismantling NATO, to Merkel's horror. The USA has led the Free World since WW2, now Trump is doing damage Putin could only dream of a few months ago.

I have said this many times: China is installing as much new solar capacity this year as the US has in total. We are being left in the dust.

Guess what will happen when renewables get cheaper than coal and oil, and they will. We'll be buying technology from China instead of developing it ourselves and selling it to China. And all that because the large flock of flat earthers in the US has blocked any meaningful investment into renewables for decades. I hope they'll be happy to have caused America's fall from leading edge tech giant to mediocrity..

Merkel has been working to form a European Army for some time. Some NATO members flatly reject the idea, but Macron has signaled his support. I wish them well in that endeavor ...

China is a lafge land mass that is rich in many natural resources

    All except energy

They lack enough coal and natural gas to meet their needs

But the US has an abundance of both

If he follows through with the solar wall it would be a huge boost to the industry, and China would slowly lose its pace to become the global leader in Renewable Energy and we would remain in the lead. There are several proposed plans that include solar panels to the wall. I think its a great idea, it would pay for itself over time, and it would make the structure functional.

If you actually believe that, I wish you luck. The panels will likely be bought from "Chyna" like all of Trump & Co. products.

Once these new renewable mechanics are something more than a Childs experiment project and can actually respectively replace the energy we need at an AFFORDABLE rate, we will do just like we do with clothing, electronics and everything else we fill our homes and lives with, buy it, MADE IN CHINA.

Funny I don't see all the StarTeckies complaining about how they have all been "Left in the dust" for the last half century on almost every thing we buy daily already being produced in China :roflol::roflol::roflol:
