Politically i think Trump would be best off to remain silent on the issue.

Trump as what he needs and will not consider anything for the masses when it comes to covid relief.

Well, Germany and France will put him to shame!!
Coronavirus: France and Germany propose €500bn recovery fund
    [IMG]
France and Germany are proposing a €500bn ($545bn; £448bn) European recovery fund to be distributed to EU countries worst affected by Covid-19.

In talks on Monday, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel agreed that the funds should be provided as grants.

The proposal represents a significant shift in Mrs Merkel's position.

Mr Macron said it was a major step forward and was "what the eurozone needs to remain united".

"I believe this is a very deep transformation and that's what the European Union and the single market needed to remain coherent," Mr Macron said following discussions via video link.

Mrs Merkel, who had previously rejected the idea of nations sharing debt, said the European Commission would raise money for the fund by borrowing on the markets, which would be repaid gradually from the EU's overall budget.

Grants provided by the proposed recovery fund should also be used to help finance the bloc's investment in a greener future, the two leaders said.

I love it! Very noble of Merkel and Macron! How nice all of a sudden the countries' leaders can be by helping each other! That's the new idea, a new way of defining politics.
America, who didn't prepare for emergencies, but rather spent money on more military and sanction threats to destroy poor countries, like Venezuela and Syria and Iran, and no help either for the Palestinians. Yeah, Mister Trump has to learn a few things from the Europeans:
    a) some manners and
    b) stop abusing other countries!

That’s not help. China pledging $2 billion for global coronavirus relief is as ridiculous as the Clinton Foundation’s 2014 tax return. China owes at least $10 trillion for their deception and malice.

Huh? Trump is the only president to ever stand up to China. Politically, publicly shaming and holding China accountable will show that Trump is keeping his campaign promise of America first.

You think the $2.2 trillion CARES package is not considering anything for the masses? That’s over 50% of the US yearly budget.

I just mean he doesn't need to dump on China for doing this.

Yes there is a lot to dump on China about.
This 2 billion in aid is not one of those things. Imo.

Hmmm, learn a few things? The European Union has a population of 514 million. So $545 billion won’t go that far. The US with 330 million is receiving $2.2 trillion in aid. So in retrospect each European Union member will receive roughly $1,000 and each American will receive $6,660. It appears that the Europeans need to learn something from President Trump.

Where do the 2.2 trillion come from? No mention in this thread. Btw., the money Merkel mentioned doesn't go to individual people, but to the hardest hit European countries.
And if China is offering 2 billion for wherever needed outside of China, then that is a generosity Trump still has to match. He, Trump, should rather keep his big mouth shut and stop harassing China. There is no proof that China is responsible for the virus or acted in some way criminally... that are just made-up accusations by Trump.
In my opinion it is not only counterproductive to accuse China, it is downright stupid and rude!

The CARES Act. The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act. Signed into law by President Trump on March 27, 2020.

So if the money goes to the hardest hit countries, but not to individual people do we conclude that the money is spent on remodeling the Coliseum in Italy and the bull fighting arenas of Spain?

The pathetic $2 billion that China is supposedly offering might pay for 1/2 of the body bags that are needed for all the deaths caused by China’s mishandling and coverup of COVID19.

~ China is a few months late and about 3 trillion short. If only half of the countries damaged demand compensation the Chinese economy will collapse and it is possible that the CCP itself may actually be destroyed.
~ Sad but true. Xi is obviously in CYOA mode and doing miserably - as usual. If Trump does everything correctly this will be the perfect opportunity to kill off the CCP .

Have you been under a rock for the last 2 months. Google “Proof China is lying about Coronavirus”. You will find countless articles from both liberal and conservative media sources. You will also find articles from foreign media sources that also back the claim China is lying. Will you post an article that backs your claim of no proof China is responsible for the world outbreak of COVID19?

LOL at your biased use of words to search. I googled “Proof trump is lying about Coronavirus” without quotes. and got 28,200,000 returns

Yes, somewhat under a rock - I live up North! Nice to meet you, Seal!:handshake:

O.k., I searched and found a nice article you will love reading:
    Washington’s New Anti-China Strategy
Regardless of the anti-Chinese hysteria of the group that imposed Western health policy responses to the Covid-19 epidemic, it demonstrated Western dependence on Chinese manufactured products. This led the Trump administration to move from a desire to re-balance trade to a military confrontation, without however resorting to war. The sabotage of the Silk Roads has officially begun.

Well, and then I also found this lovely article:

Coronavirus began in US, not China,
A spokesman for China's ministry of foreign affairs has lashed out at the United States' handling of the coronavirus outbreak, saying COVID-19 may have been brought into China by US soldiers.
Lijian Zhao, a prominent firebrand official with more than 300,000 followers on Twitter, took to the social media platform to suggest the origin of COVID-19 was in fact the United States, not China.

"It might be US Army who brought the epidemic to Wuhan."

I see! Didn't know the US had any money, except for Israel and the Industrial Military Complex.
Yes, you are free to conclude whatever your IQ can give!
Two billion is nothing to sneeze at. How much money has the US given to other countries?

Correct, every administration since Nixon has been gullible enough to allow China to not only manufacture but control nearly 85% of America’s life saving prescription drugs.

Yes, I saw that same article right next to the
“Schiff has proof that Trump colluded with Russia” article.

Not only is $2 billion an amount to sneeze at, but also to ignore when a state project is over that much in 6 months.

~ I don't think referring to someone's IQ is a good move. You may want to read some history of the Communist Chinese Party and Dictator Xi before making a decision about trusting China .

In this context 2 billion is **** all even for one small nation like Australia, let alone worldwide.

It's just more PR crap from this unabashedly authoritarian regime.

We don't want help from the operators of concentration camps. Put the 2 billion into milsurp bullets for those responsible for the atrocious human rights situation in China.
