Your right.....some Chinese Communist Party Leaders made A LOT OF MONEY...buying that old worthless Soviet Aircraft Carrier.

And as far as a Chinese Army with Millions upon Millions of Men.....what the HELL good is that if you can't get them anywhere but their own Nation?

And it not like the United States has or ever will have some desire to Invade China!!!

    FOR WHAT???

What really irks the Chinese Communist Party Leadership....and gave GREAT RELIEF to the PLN and PLA....was the cancellation of the 2007-2008 Planned Invasion of Taiwan.

Chinese General Chen Bingde was invited to the U.S. to Norfolk to watch U.S. Navy War Games as well as to other U.S. MIlitary Bases.

This is what the Chinese General said on his visit to the U.S. at a time when Chinese Communist Leaders wanted to try another Invasion of Taiwan.

    DECADES BEHIND THE WEST?

Chen played down Chinese military advances on his trip, telling the audience of U.S. military officers and faculty at the National Defense University the People's Liberation Army lagged at least 20 years behind developed Western nations.

"To be honest, I feel very sad after visiting (the United States), because I think, I feel and I know, how poor our equipments are and how underdeveloped we remain," Chen said.

Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the U.S. military's Joint Chiefs of Staff and Chen's host, stressed the importance of renewed dialogue to minimize the risk of misunderstanding.

"What he and I have both talked about is a future that is a peaceful future and a better one for our children and grandchildren. That does not include a conflict between China and the United States," Mullen told reporters.

But some members of Congress criticized the U.S. military for too openly engaging with Chen and his delegation, particularly his access to U.S. military facilities. Chen will visit Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, home to some high-tech U.S. defenses.

As every American knows....FREEDOM DOES NOT COME WTHOUT A PRICE!!!

But it is a price worth paying even for those who pay....a GOOD DEATH is a reward unto itself.

China army is used to stop revolution. for CCP, the only enemy is its own people.
remember China did quite lots of little actions at south east Asia? China wanna to gain more power at south east Asia, but mission failed.

China army is also corrupted from bottom to top, from inside out.

Rural China is still very poor. that's true. China govt just treats them as nothing.

    agree with you.

that's the main problem of Hong Kongers are now facing.
we get used to enjoy freedom for Free...since the colony time.
we basically had all kind of freedom except politic, esp after 1970s.

and now we realize a fact that, govt won't yield to peaceful protests, and things only get worse.
from now on, people need to face the violence of cops, the risk of arrestment and jail or more. we have to face ourselves, do we have enough courage and determination?

What SUCKS is most Chinese people have to go through their lives knowing that a small group of Communists Leaders are controlling them as if they were children.

The CCP spends massive amounts of money building giant empty skyscrapers and spends huge sums of money in the cities and urban areas while the rural areas get nothing.

But what is really worrysome is that the CCP places multiple COMMUNIST IDEOLOGY OFFICERS on each PLN Ship and many within the ranks of the Army.

They get these kids and these Ideology Officers use a combination of Combat Exercises they have the majority of a ships crew chant and scream slogans such as THE AMERICANS ARE WEAK!

    The PLN is INVINCIBLE!

    The PLA is INVINCIBLE!

    Etc.....

Fact is if a PLN Fleet of any size was to for GOD knows what reason....make a run on seizing a Japanese Disputed Island and these PLN Ships had to encounter a U.S. Nuclear Nimitz Class Carrier Battle Group......not a single PLN Sailor would survive unless we rescued them.

It is DANGEROUS when you fool yourself as far as what your adversary can do.

Arab Spring is a good example.
people won nothing, but why people still did this? as they got nothing to lose.
when a society keep driving people to a forever loser stage, revolution happen. simply as that.

the fact is, under this government ruling, people won't have good living. the youth got no kids, no family, no stable job, got nothing. that's why our thoughts change.

when a small group of people set up a game
that make me and my kids always a loser,
then I have no reason to join the game.
I have a reason to set up a new game.

the older people wanna keep this game not because they have experience wisdom priority, the reason is that THEY ARE THE WINNER IN THE OLD GAME, THEY HAVE GAINED WHAT THEY WANT IN THE OLD GAME, AND THEY CAN KEEP WHAT THEY GOT AS THE OLD GAME CONTINUE.

The problem is the Chinese People need to see the Chinese Communist Party Leadership for what they are.....worthless and obsolete!!

As well the indoctrination of young Chinese into the PLA....not as bad in the PLN because the PLN Sailors actually run into U.S. Naval Nuclear Carrier Battle Groups and they KNOW what they would be up against.

But the kid soldiers of the PLA are indoctrinated in a much different way than say a U.S. Marine or Sailor is.

A to become member of the U.S. Military has a much different Sworn Oath.

    .In the U.S. Armed Forces

.I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

This is what a President Elect swears as an oath....

Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:— “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

And here is where it get's interesting.

Every Citizen of the United States has a DUTY.....not right.....but a DUTY TO REMOVE ANY GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES THAT DOES NOT ABIDE BY THE U.S. CONSTITUTION.

A wise business leader in America was once asked how he was so good at solving problems……

He replied that he and his team would come up with perhaps two hundred possible solutions to a problem….. and then try their best to choose the best one.

The following they may not be the very best way to increase freedom in Hong Kong and all of China but….. at least it can easily be turned into a win - win - win scenario both for the older people who have already piled up some saving as well as for the young people who are desperately seeking some economic stability for their future.

I have read that there are 24 fairly old men and women in China who hold a great deal of power over the policies of the Communist Party.

I wonder what it would be like to stand in their shoes??????

I did the first year of Business ADministration at St. F. X. back in 1979 -1980. By the middle of the next semester I got distracted and moved away for about a year. I came back and did the second year in 1982 -'83.

Ever since I was a teenager I was reading a great deal about world events and politics, especially as they related to my view of prophecy for the "latter days." I am 55 right now.

In 1994 I was passed an article that transformed my view of those courses in economics that I had taken. Surely….. there had to be major implications to the statistic of President Lincoln saving American taxpayers FOUR BILLION DOLLARS in interest payments due to his out of the box monetary policy experiment.

    http://www.michaeljournal.org/lincolnkennedy.htm

In the 1990's I read about "Walk Ins" as I researched the paranormal. I wonder…… how successful I personally could have been if I had ………. did a Walk In sort of thing with one of those 24 Chinese leaders back in perhaps….2004? If I had been able to take over in the mind and heart of one of those leaders…….. know all that they know…. but also know all that I know…… would I have been able to influence the Chinese Communist Party toward even better policies than has been implemented over this past decade?

Hopefully………… I might have been able to do so………… but…….. it is also quite possible that I would have attempted to do too much too quickly and I might have gotten myself killed unnecessarily!

Basically……. I have to agree that yes….. .China is desperately in need of a change in government……… but the complexities involved in improving the method of governing over a billion people ….. step by step by step…… is a situation that would challenge anybody on earth no matter how well informed they may be?!

If many of the leaders of the Falun Gong are correct in their respect for the research of Helen Wambach Ph. D. then those 24 elders in China could well be my own great, great, great, great….. grandsons and granddaughters from one or more of my possible past lives………. and …… at the minimum….. I believe it could be said that they could have done much worse?!
