they like to gamble to like the Americans, recklessly going out in space not knowing if theirs a true threat to us on earth, from some super alien virus they dig up on the moon soil and bring it back, only greed from corporations leading the charge can be so blinded by there EGOS curiosity and a race to find something before the other does.

look back in history its warning us, but we are repeating it in space in this time line, small pox killed millions of south American Indians
[IMG] after the alien disease spread from the explorers from Europe..remember it was in the name of progress and greed that led to this carnage.

Well it not all that high tech, just a lot of tech. The mission profile is pretty impressive.

And you might want to check your history. The Huygen's probe was not American :roflol:

Well they are going to be able to build on results from the previous US and Soviet missions. Thats why I think they are so keen to dig and use ground penetrating radar

Maybe they can find those golf balls Shepard left up there 42 YEARS AGO. Those things would be worth a mint on eBay.

You are wrong. The probe that landed on Titan was Huygens. It was build from ESA and was a complete european project. So stop stealing others sucess:

I believe we should advance miniturization and rail gun technologies to better survey our solar system, through probes, for that purpose.

No I think it was simply time. The previous missions had absolute shopping lists of experiments to conduct. NASA just went for the low hanging fruit then let the science decide where to go next. Thats why the mission profile of Apollo 17 was so different. It was the first, and sadly last mission that was designed around the findings of the earlier flights

Presuming its real, congrats to the Chinese.

They've gotten to where the Soviets got in the 1960s.

Given they didn't launch their first serious spacecraft until 1999 - I think they are doing okay

I took it right out of the liberal playbook. Get something wrong, go straight to insult.

So I got it wrong. I'm over it. I figured since we've shot more crap into space than any other country it was ours as well.
