I saw this in another forum I belong to, and thought I would throw it up in here and see what you all think about it.

It seems that there are reports that Chinese troops are massing in Mexico. Apparently a truck driver from Texas saw their formations, being escorted by Mexican Police. And he saw a staging area with over 10,000 armored vehicles.

Now I have my own opinion as to what this is actually about. But before I say what it is, I would love to see what some of you think about this development.

Funny no Mexicans or the hundreds of thousands of US ex-pats or tourists noticed the Chinese isn't it. Only one truck driver. What does that tell you in terms of common sense? That maybe it's far too stupid to be posted?

Actually, I think this was all posted for a very specific reason. And it was something outside that caused this to die down.

We are interested in your "very specific reason" and what you mean by "something outside that caused this to die down".

Did you send your people to the Mexican border to fight the Chinese invaders with tomahawks, bows and arrows?

You should have posted your crap on April 1. Well, you still have a chance to post another crap next April, perhaps about your people massing on the borders of the so-called "Domestic Nations" to prepare for a showdown with the cowboys or to rehearse a ghost dance.

Actually, I knew it was a hoax the first time I saw it. However, a lot of people seemed to believe it was real, and I spent some time trying to inform those that actually believed it.

And personally, I do believe that this was information that was released on purpose, and for a very specific reason.

If you have been tracking movies, you would know that back on 10 August we had the 27th anniversary of the release of the original Red Dawn movie. And the planned release back at the beginning of the the year for the new Red Dawn was going to be August. So a viral PR campaign started in March would be about the right timing. And the villian was planned to be China.

However, in late March, the villian was changed to North Korea, and the release pushed back to November-December.

However, the interesting thing if you look around the internet is how many others got suckered in by this thing. This is what I find most interesting. And also what I warn people about when it comes to taking unverified information and trying to say it is true.

And that is a second reason why I posted it. A lot of places have been totally taken in by this report. Some sites that some consider "reputable" (but I call "tinfoil hat") have bought into this hook, line, and sinker. Some have even reported that they have been able to independently verify the information!

    http://thestrongwatchman.com/news-u...d/717-update-on-chinese-troops-in-mexico.html

    http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message1410625/pg1

    http://conpats.blogspot.com/2011/03/read-and-decide-for-yourself-chinese.html

And if anybody is interested, this is the original "press release":

    http://www.stevequayle.com/News.alert/11_Global/110321.alert.NAU.html

So this is a good example and a warning that people should be very careful when they use an "internet source". They may honestly believe the information, but it is nothing but coprolite.

Lamest thing i've ever heard. How many zilions of troops would it take to take a city like LA? Even if the US military totally ignores the invation, our civilian population would kick there ass.

Yeah, I'm sure civilian weapons can take on tanks. I doubt the Chinese would hold back.

    Actually, they can.

As simple as they are, "Molotov Cocktails" can still be effective, even against modern armour. While they no longer are able to leak into the crew compartments like they did 50 years ago, they can still do considerable damage. Some of the componants vulnerable are optical sights, periscopes, radio antennas, machine guns, and ventilation openings. These may not knock out the tank, but would render it blind and deaf, counting as an effective kill.

Because in order to continue operating, the commander or driver would have to open up in order to see where they are going. And at that point, they are vulnerable to sniper fire.

And IEDs are rather simple to make. All you need is some diesel fuel and fertilizer. IEDs burried in the road bed, or placed on the underside of a bridge aiming down could easily take out a tank (top and bottom armour is the thinnest on the tank).

So while not as effective as conventional military with their mines and missiles, irregular forces could still take out a fair number of tanks. Especially since the Chinese tanks are closer to the old M-60 then the modern M-1.

Nope, I knew it was BS when I posted it. But a lot of people on the Internet were taken in by this

And that is what I think is sad.

Still, a modern military makes it into the US and takes the gloves off it's not the civilians that come out on top.

It is sad to believe that. This hole, "China is the devil and we should be scared" talk is lame and destructive. We have nothing to fear exsept alien invation, solar flares, black holes, and a zombie apocalypse.

During the initial invasion, no. But eventually lines of battle would stabalize as Chinese supply lines become stretched out, the military would trade space for time and draw the Chinese spearheads into at least northern texas or Oklahoma.

Once behind the lines, when the tanks are the front, the occupation and rear echelon troops would be easy pickings for partisans.

you don't use civilian irregulars to blunt an invasion, you let the invasion roll over them and blunt it with your own forces.. partisans are for actions in the rear of the enemy where he's supposed to be safe.

What would happen is all the smart red necks would hunker down and wait while the armored columns pushed through, and then rise up en masse in a guerrilla war that would make Vietnam look like a skirmish.

The probability of Kungfu Panda landing with his parachute on the White House is higher.

If that really occurs before your eyes, you will know for sure you are not in the Silicon Valley but in the dreamland of your wild imagination or in the Never Never Land. Continue with your nightmare and play your part of the magician helping Peter Pan in the fight against Captain Hook.
