Well, Mr Tingle Leg has apologized for all white people so that should do it. I know I am relieved and race relations will be perfect from now on. Well, once everyone finishes soul searching anyway.

My family came to America to escape Nazi Germany. I have nothing to apoligize for to black people in our country. How long can they use the excuse of something that ended 130+ years ago and not a single survivor exist.

 

Chris Mathews is not the spokesperson for white people nor does he represent whites.

I am a mutt.... Scottish, Irish, German, etc.... My family can be tracked to the Mayflower, to Irish Famine, and a whole lot more. My family fought in the revolutionary war and was awarded land in Ohio for it. My family fought in the Civil War on both sides. I have strong abolitionists in my family line. My mother marched in Alabama for Civil Rights.

No one does. And even if we were to elect someone to speak on behalf of us it WOULD NOT be chris mathews if he were the last caucasian on earth.

 

Not all black people are descendents of slaves and not all Germans were good little NaZis either.

Besides, Germany and Japan are still paying the price of their history whereas the U.S. tends to forget about its past or make up new history to allign with political ideology.

No equal to. And also equal to the predj. toward Irish americans and others that immigrated here to New York and other eastern States. IMO what was done to American Indians, African Americans, Japanese (during the War) and other immigrants to this Country was terrible. IMO it would have never happened today.

We should be concentrating on assuring it never happens again. But, we can't do so until everyone forgives what was done in the and as long as there are groups whose purpose is to divide the Country by playing the race card instead of working to bring all citizens together.

I am White and I am tired of being called a racist solely because I have voted Republican in the past. I am an independent, leaning Centrist/libertarian. I would like to get rid of Dems and Republicans of present day. Neither reflect my views.

 

He clearly says " for all white people" . I dont care what he wants to apologize for. He doesnt represent me and never will.

 

But in your own comments you lumped all black together with the issue of slavery while assuming that is what Mr. Matthews was apologizing for.

 

You will still be outraged if Chris Matthews said anything because you have said, "somebody needs to put a sock in his mouth and have him shut the (*)(*)(*)(*) up." It is not what Chris Matthews is saying, it is the fact that it is Chris Matthews, at least for you, that is.
