Dude it was advertised months before as a free speech rally. The overwhelming number of people there were initially were supporters if free speech then bus loads of *******s showed up.

The problem you have with weeding racist out of congress is there wouldn’t be many congress critters left when you got done. See, I’m not selective. I don’t approve of racism by minorities or anyone. Also, I’m not big on thought crime, I’m more of a freedom of speech guy. And there are many who are much more racist than what everyone tries to make Trump out as. I don’t know anything about King so can’t comment.

I think it is much more effective to lead with a positive example than to fight racist personalities on television and other media. Prosecute violations of law, live exemplary lives of inclusion and tolerance, and stop giving nuts a platform.

What is going on now doesn’t seem to be working if one believes the hoopla about overwhelming white supremacy.

I didn't see any picture of an attack.

Oh, OK - I didn't actually see what it was. And, those were unbelievable horrors.

Let's remember that that attack was designed to get us out of Saudi Arabia, where our military and financial arrangements were making it impossible to move beyond the murderous and despotic rule of that country.

The number of people killed by the Saudis without legitimate justification was far in excess of anything OBL ever perpetrated. And, he rightly concluded that it could not stop without the US being removed.

There is no possibility of condoning such a gigantic criminal act, obviously.

However, we also continue to support that regime, which is continuing to carry out it's murderous and despotic rule. And, I don't see any way to absolve the US from that, either.

I'd like to see us apply the Magnitsky Act to the Saudi leader over his murdering of that journalist.

    I totally forgot about that.

Like too much of what we do, I'd bet we won't apply that in any other case.

Your extremist rightwing disinformation source was discredited and your NYT source DEBUNKED your own position thereby negating it entirely.

All you have done is post vacuous strawmen allegations that you have consistently FAILED to substantiate and a constant string of puerile ad homs in VIOLATION of PF Rules.

But all of the above is YOUR problem, not mine!

Nothing was discredited. I gave you two names of actual Americans who were at Charlottesville to support historical monuments. By reading their words and observing their actions pre and post demonstration it is clear they are good people.

You selectively edited the NYT article and cut the relevant paragraphs entirely from your quote. That is your problem.

Your position has been untenable from the start. Your inability to give any supporting evidence is clear for all to see. Thanks for your consistency.

You are still FIXATED and OBSESSED with YOUR own vapid STRAWMAN!

Try READING what I actually POSTED!

Throwing puerile hissyfits because your vacuous strawman is irrelevant bovine excrement is YOUR problem, not mine!

But thanks for consistently establishing that you are not able to address what other members actually post!

It has been duly noted for the record and discredits your standing as far as I am concerned.

I'm afraid it looks like NZ is going to follow the feminized Swedish example; the BBC reported last night there's a lot of discontent about immigration, with severe housing shortages and other infrastructure pressures, but it's being suppressed. What kind of a prime minister is it who will invite thousands of immigrants into their country without first making sure the essential public services are able to cope with them ffs? :wall:

Actually - now that I think of it, we did exactly that??

Every country in the West is doing the same dumb things. We're governed by dummies.

    True.

It's safe to say Western society is superior to a Muslim dominated society.

What we are assuming about most Muslims is that they create nations like the Muslim nations that exist in the world today. There is not a single majority Muslim nation that I or anybody I know would ever want to live in. If we wanted to live in an Islamic caliphate we would move to one of their countries. I am sure what happens to France when it becomes majority Muslim (which will happen in our lifetimes) will shock liberals like you. Islam has a clear path to victory in the West and it is because of people like you (and powerful elites) that it will happen. Islam is an existential threat to the West whether you want to acknowledge it or not.

And yet they still come in their millions to the West.... fancy that.... They clearly haven't gotten the message about how vile and racist the West is.

No they haven't. But it's just a small section of RWism that is the problem.
