CIA or CNN? The Media Deep State’s Echo Chamber
Will the media ever be held accountable for conspiring against America?

Spygate began with the Clinton campaign. It ended with informants and eavesdropping on the Trump campaign. Clinton opposition research morphed into an endless investigation of her opponent.
The Cliton campaign and its opposition research were the starting point of Spygate. And Mueller’s hound dog face scowling from a thousand CNN screens (roughly its viewership when you subtract airports, bars and Marin County) were the endpoint. But the media was Spygate’s interface.
Hillary’s Fusion GPS mercs used the media to spread their smear. Mother Jones’ David Corn was the first man on the ground. But there were plenty of others. And that’s only to be expected. Opposition research is useless if the media won’t pick it up. And the best opposition research looks like a story generated by a dedicated reporter, not some sleazebag employed by the other guy’s campaign.
In real life, those Pulitzer scandal scoops come from story-launderers who hand-feed stories to reporters, sometimes even writing their hit pieces for them. What the media likes to pretend is journalism is really just a bunch of PR and shadier outfits like Fusion GPS waging a shadow war using corporate media.
But the media didn’t actually run the Clinton-Steele dossier. Until BuzzFeed slipped up, no one did. Instead the dossier was meant to serve as a primer for media hit pieces that would then be used to justify actions by the Obama administration. For example, the FISA warrant application cited a Yahoo News story by Michael Isikoff that had been based on the Clinton campaign’s opposition research.
    ~Snip~
The media Deep State enjoys the highest level of legal protection and the lowest level of accountability. That exposed it to the least risk in a conspiracy against America. It was not the most powerful player in Spygate. But it had the most range and the fewest limitations. FBI officials and Clinton campaign officials might face legal sanction, but the media figures that made the conspiracy possible never will.
And that’s why the media must be held accountable.

James Clapper, Obama’s Director of National Intelligence, allegedly coordinated with CNN. Then was hired by CNN. Clapper isn’t alone. Obama’s CIA boss, John Brennan, is over at NBC News. Josh Campbell, Comey’s assistant, is at CNN. The three arms of the Deep State offer interchangeable employment. Much as Fusion GPS was paying the wife of a top DOJ official Bruce Ohr to investigate Trump.
This is what organizational integration looks like. And that’s what a Deep State looks like.
CIA or CNN? Who can tell the difference?
Indeed, a brilliant analysis by Daniel Greenfield No one does it better, and few do it as well.
There is good reason to treat today's media as criminal. It no longer functions as a source of impartial, objective truth, but defrauds the public with lies and schemes that are coordinated with leftists who have every intention of overthrowing our government and imposing one form or another of totalitarian Marxism. Their job is to obscure the real objectives of the political criminals on the left. They've learned their lessons well from Edward Bernays and Josef Goebbels.
The traditional role of media is to objectively and factually report on corruption, crimes, legislation, or foreign policy. They have from the start of this country tasked with being the watchdogs of the republic, independent of party affiliation. They were given considerable protection because the media functioned as a public utility for truth. They used to be the ultimate whistleblower.
Today's media is the exact opposite. They conspire to deceive the public. They act as a distribution center for lies, disinformation, smears, etc. Instead of exposing the liars, they are working for them. Instead of telling the truth, they are collaborating to make lies believable. They are accessories to treason, among other crimes.
The Progressive Marxist Socialist Left pretends to cherish a free press, but how many journalists have they smeared, fired, hacked, or even killed when true journalism threatened their revolution? The PMSL has no respect for the media and it already treats them like criminals when they don't goose step to the their agenda. We have every right to treat their hacks as the accessories to crime that they are, and we have every right to prosecute billionaires who purchase media for the purpose of facilitating an agenda that is hostile to this constitutional republic. Media that isn't ethical is invariably criminal.
Actually Russia and our Intelligence Agencies tactics are reminiscent of the N a z i "Big Lie".
Say it enough and scream it enough and people will accept it as truth!!
Now the 'Real' truth is out.
We expect our elected Conservative leaders to act to repudiate this threat to our Constitution Republic; if they don't they are not our leaders, they have aligned with the PMS Left and our ENEMIES!

I don't understand why anyone would think a smear campaign against Trump would work. He basically admitted many of his faults on the campaign trail and never portrayed himself as some angel.

Honestly, this all seems like theatrics. Both sides go after each other and nothing is really meant to stick. Democrats can't hate Trump that much. Hell they were hanging out for decades and in some ways Trump is a bit progressive.

They should just lay off and find a message for the public.

You are correct.. Trump was open about his faults and the history of his career in business and real estate are there to peruse. Trump made promises prior to the election and so far he's accomplished a good majority of them. The former administration for all their bluster of transparency and distribution of wealth did neither, in fact we have found that they weaponized the agencies in their charge against the very people that elected their president and party into power.
