Climate change. We get it ... it’s a mess you don’t want to think about.

LoL, there's so much nonsense here I don't even know where to start.

Fact: No climate prediction has ever actually happened

Fact: Even if you wanted to do something, there is nothing you can do

Fact: China isn't going to do a damn thing except build more coal plants and laugh at you

Fact: Yes the climate changes. It always has. Unfortunately for you, those changes are measured in thousands and tens of thousands of years at a minimum.

Fact: "climate change" is the perfect leftist infatuation to fantasize about, because they'll all be dead before we have the evidence to point and laugh at them like we do everythign else they're 100% wrong about.

Leftists can't even figure out basic biology, let alone something as complicated as something measured in geologic time frames.

Well, as usual you were blathering on about things, and I just assumed somehow you were talking about the recent building collapses due to sink holes. You know, like the Surfside last year?

Gee, maybe you would be happy if we magically waved a wand, and returned to 35kya.

Oh, and if you notice, things were a hell of a lot worse 120kya. And that is eventually what it will likely be like again eventually. There are three things that are unavoidable in life. Death, taxes, and that the sea levels are always in fluctuation.

And once again, you are trying to scream I am a denier, and at the same time I am telling you things are going to get a hell of a lot worse. Every human on the planet could die next week, and that will still not do a damned thing to stop or change this, as it was happening when we were just learning to tie stones to sticks to make better spears.

    *Yawn*

You keep sending money to China and North Korea to combat global warming then.

I'm sure they're all out waving ferns about to soak up the carbon.

Then why not scream at China? Because they emit far more "greenhouse gasses" than the US has, and has done so for years. Why are you screaming at the nation that has made the biggest change in the last 5 decades?

    They're hilarious aren't they.

As if all those sunken ancient cities were caused by campfires.

Because it’s emissions reduction targets are more ambitious than America’s

You mean the “pseudoscience” that has been contributed to by tens of thousands of scientists across the planet and was so convincing that over 190 countries signed the Paris agreement?

I thought we we talking about solutions. It's a problem that occurs in a lot of governments. Also, You think poor countries will spend money on this?

Of course not. But then you have others like in here, that scream those were not "real" predictions, so do not count.

Myself and others old enough to remember the "Ice Age Scare" of the 1970s point this out over and over, only to have it dismissed as "fake news".

Bower is a perfect example. Only believes what they want to believe, and dismisses anything else.

Funny thing is, I agree that the planet is warming. That the seas are rising. I simply do not agree on why that is so. I also am a major conservationist, to a degree that would probably put most of these "AGW" nutcases into a coma. To me it has nothing to do with the "chicken little" belief that the sky is falling, it is simply how I choose to live my life.

I wonder what Bower and others would think if I took them up to Alaska to watch the tides at the Turnagain Arm. They would probably just say it is proof of "Global Warming". Even though Captain Bligh commented on those very same conditions during the American Revolution. Even his logs showed his surprise at sailing up what seemed to possibly be the "North-West Passage", only to end up sitting on the mud as when the tide turned all of the water roared out. Even I was shocked when I first saw them over 40 years ago.

Yes they will because it will be cheaper if we do it right

You know I really really really get sick and tired of the “dirty bedroom” excuse

“But Muuuuum! Why do I have to clean my bedroom when Billy’s bedroom is dirty!”

Who cares what other countries do?

I for one could not care less, they are sovereign nations and can do what they want.

But tell you what. You come up and see me the first time one states they are throwing away all of their technology, and returning to a Neolithic agrarian-nomadic lifestyle. Of course, to do that they would first have to enact population control measures in line with what Pol Pot and his band of merry peacenicks did.

And again a retreat to useless hyperbole

Who is suggesting we return to a “Neolithic agrarian-nomadic lifestyle”. It seems once again this is something that has come from a denialist website or Faux news painting the issue in thick layers of hyperbole

Meanwhile places like Australia are innovating the hell out of solutions with billions being invested into “green hydrogen/ammonium”

Tell us then, when was the last time you drove your car? I can't even remember myself, to be honest. The battery is dead yet again and I have not even bothered to charge it for two weeks.

Not that there is a problem with it, it is just that is how rarely I drive it. I think the longest trip I have taken this year was 20 miles when I went to the VA in January.

For pretty much everything else, I walk.

Even most of my family thinks I am nuts, as the closest to "processed foods" I come is pasta. I can make my own, it is simply a pain in the ass to do so. When we had a pot luck at work last month, they were surprised I made the cake from scratch and not a mix.

This is the time I largely look at people who try to tell me how to live my life, and ask how they live their own. Because odds are they come nowhere near to living how I do. And yet, I am a "denier" and "destroying the environment".

How am I “trying to tell you how to live your life”? Again this sounds like it is echoing from Faux news

No, it was yet more of the scare tactics that others who do not know the geological history of our planet use to frighten people.

I know that most of Florida will eventually vanish. Just as I know that once England and Ireland were connected to Europe. To me, only a moron would know otherwise.

Of course, I also know there are a lot of morons out there, that scream "this has never happened before!"

Of course not government never met a power grab they didn't love. We're all going to die if we don't let the government regulate every aspect of human existence....

It's the biggest doomsday cult sham there ever has been.

Democrats would charge us per breath as a CO2 tax and use the money to buy coal from Iran.

More Faux news? Told you if you get all your news about this from denialist sites you will inevitably get the wrong impression

Tell me - have you read the latest IPCC sixth assessment report? I mean actually read what it actually says?
    https://www.ipcc.ch/report/sixth-assessment-report-working-group-ii/

This is the worlds working document - worth a read
