Yes. Only in America are you legally allowed to protect yourself from being raped or killed. In most of EU, you're just supposed to accept being brutalized.

No reasonable person would see outrage in this case. His comments are worthy of criticism and Im sure he enjoys the safety of armed security at work and a home in a safe neighborhood. I am on her side.

 

Actually, if you do some digging, you will find the tape. And it is an NRA ad, posted from NRATV. And, watching it, I was struck by how 'smiley' she was throughout. She was positioned to portray strength, while her story portrayed one time victimhood.

 

So do you support a woman being able to defend herself or not? Either you support a woman being raped or you don't? Which is it? Would you prefer your daughter kill an attacker or be raped and possibly killed? Its a simple question and an even simpler answer.

And why did he apologize if he did nothing wrong?

My comments (and I suspect Cuomo's) had nothing to do with the woman and her experience. Or my feelings on her right to defend herself. It had to do with the use of the story and how it was told on NRATV.
