If you wanted to know what racism in the US today looks like just watch this video. CNN reporter actively seeks out minority to profess their victimization and get's smacked down for it.

The insensitivity of the CNN folk is relentless, as is their wiliness to engage in blatantly racism in their reporting.

Oh come on, this is not racism.

News people usually go after whoever is the most frantic person available so they can get a more emotioanl story for their audience, it is sick but "WE" the audience love it, that is a fact.

This is an unfortunate interview as you really get to see how scared she is, but to put this on CNN (especially as 'racist') is ridiculous at best.

I invite you to review their reporting then. It's awash with the attempt to paint this as another Katrina, and invoking the wedges to ensure their narrative has legs. This reporter has a producer. The producer understands the agenda. The interview has been deftly removed from their own web site, so save the few places that saved it out like this on Youtube, CNN have scrubbed this little gem from their site. Interesting, huh? Can't have the downtrodden lash out at the media elite who's only mission there is to entertain their mostly liberal elitist audience with their hourly dose of guilt.

    You are over reaching.

This interview has nothing to do with racism, if you want to paint the larger narrative of "CNN is using racist coverage to pain Harvey a certain way", that can be discussed.

But your thread is about "This interview being racist"

    It is not

Every single news source is doing the exact same type of reporting. It's sick but you know the old saying, if it bleeds, it leads.

You have an opinion. I don't agree. I see many folks agreeing with my position today.

    But it is definitely insensitive.

And, when race is involved, the left has said that insensitivity is de facto racism.

And this is way, WAY more than just a simple "micro-aggression", ya know.

Of course, it had nothing to do with "racism".

Anybody trying to paint that interview as "racism" is not only completely CLUELESS (but is completely unworthy of ever being taken seriously in the future).

The subject of the OP is just some CNN-trashing, BS troll post over something that had nothing this do with racism.

Looks like just some more RW Fever Swamp BS making the rounds on RW social media feeds.
(So, of course, such ridiculous RW BS it finds it's way to PF).

Yes, I agree it is incensitive and it most likely does have an "agenda" behind it.

But randomly calling out "RACISM" is one of my pet peves, while it is almost exclusively from the Left, whenever a person from the Right does it I of course will call it out.

RACISSSS! NAZI!!!! These stupid buzz words are part of the massive problem in America today IMO

Strange, but it doesn't show her actively seeking out anyone.

Your video doesn't show the part where she was actively seeking out a minority. Please post that. All I see is the black woman standing there waiting to be interviewed.

Gosh. These kinds of clips usually never show the producers or others staging them, do they? Funny how that never makes it into the clips...

I agree that CNN's agenda along with MSNBC and the rest of those trash networks is to somehow paint this as Katrina and Trump has done a worse job than George W. I also agree that if the reporter was from Fox and victim was black every left wing nut in this forum would be calling it racist and since it's CNN they post "it happens all the time."
