When I start seeing reasonable proposals consisting of sensible solutions — national e-verify, mandatory employer penalties, reforming birthright citizenship, implementation of a biometric entry/exit system, expedited removal of illegals convicted of any crime, ending catch and release — I will be happy to give them credit.

I do like the CLEAR act that was proposed last in 2009 by Rep Blackburn but hasn’t been brought back up since. Ten years ago. Strange how everyone is so gung-ho until they take control then all of these measures vanish while they pay off their corporate donors.

    Where did I say that?

    I am excusing neither party.

Is that all you have is strawmen and deflections?

How many of them wanted to get rid of Trump as badly as Democrats, and did not support Trump's agenda?

    Blame Republicans, don't blame Trump.

Trump is a republican. He is just so incompetent he can’t even get his own party to do anything, lol.

    Oh I see.

What you meant was that a human being was a political party.

    That's makes total sense.

Bullshit, my friend. Trump is an outsider, out to drain Washington swamp to which both Democrats and Republicans belong. Nobody wanted Trump for 2 years, nobody believed in him.

Except for Deplorables who are growing in numbers, and will reelect him. Get used for Trump being your president for another 5 and a half years :nana:

The USA doesn't have strong party lines, especially the republican party. Trump isn't even the leader/chairman of the party, Ronna Romney McDaniel is. This is different than most other first world nation where the premier/president is usually the leader of the party. There is no party line per se, and voting against your own party doesn't result in immediate repercution, unlike say Canada, where voting against your party, unless agreed upon, means that you'll be sitting as an independant and never run again with that party insuring, generally, a defeat at the next election.

    Yes, we were lucky.

400,000 Americans would lose their jobs if Mexico didn't sign.

We have ways to measure that, and if its not improved at any time Trump will throw down the tariffs.

Hell the commie President of Mexico sold the mexican air force one to help pay for this.

The troops are the new Mexican national guard.

    Sure they would.

Your theoretical job loss is still less than the almost 900,000 jobs we lost back in the real world under NAFTA.

Edit* I was wondering where you got that 400k number. Then I found it. CNN.

I said Mexico sent an army to the border. In what universe does that translate into Mexicans wanting to go to concentration camps?

Yes, but that was when the unemployment rate was 42%.

Yeah I wonder what losing 900,000 jobs and the unemployment rate have in common.

Is that what you're going with?

You can't even get Democrats to the table to discuss anything, much less bring fresh ideas. Trump wants a deal and Republicans want to sort this out. The issue is that if Trump gets a deal it makes him look good and that is intolerable to Democrats.

The sad part is that Trump will give up a lot to get things done. He'll give things to the Democrats they have been asking for, for years. It's amazing how entrenched Democrats are that they will not even ask for a meeting to get things done.

It seems pretty obvious to me that Trump and his followers are talking nonsense.

But that's okay, keep believing that the tariffs are paid by the importing countries and that Trump will build a wall with Mexican money.
