So that means Pocahontas or Sanders will win? Trump's approval is higher than Obama's at this point in his first term. He was re-elected.

So? Their polls also had Hillary favored to win in '16. Who's sitting in the Oval Office? Gotta take any official polls with a huge grain of salt.

Strange you didn’t make that same statement to the OP...
Guess you agreed with one but not the other?

    Cognitive bias?

Which is pretty close to how the final popular vote ended up. They were polling likely voters - not Electors.

Gallop at an all time high surpassing Obama at this time during his term. Boy that impeachment really hurt him, look at the upward trend.

    Its was a brilliant speech.

C-span had people call in, several were life long democrats who said they will never vote Democrat again.

It was a reality show combined with Let's Make A Deal and Oprah's giveaways. It was cheesy as all hell and riddled with lies. It was perfect for Trump's base.

Let’s look at the full graph:
    upload_2020-2-5_18-7-24.jpeg

trumps approval rating was 46% on inauguration and is at 45% today — well within the MOE for most polling organizations — however his disapproval is at 52%, up from 46% at inauguration.

    Obama’s looks quite different:
    upload_2020-2-5_18-12-10.jpeg

He was virtually tied for approval and disapproval at 46%.

It is most likely going to be a very narrow election.

    Wow!

Faux Comedy is linking to a CNN Poll?

I thought Faux considered CNN to be "Fake News"?

    Go figure.

In any event, I am glad to see that (from NOW on) Faux (and it's viewers) will consider every CNN Report to be "Irrefutable Gospel".

    ^This is a Good Thing.:salute:

As far as anybody else's "opinion" of the speech?

All that I can say IS:

Hopefully Trump does that with the shampeachment articles tomorrow.

You're hard to please, you don't like polls when FOX or CNN runs them.

The SOTU was a great speech. Americans like to hear that things are going well, that our President is confident, and that there is a rosy outlook for the future. The best is yet to come.

Not really surprising. The SOTU seems to be one speech Trump sticks to the teleprompter for and sees a bump. The problem is usually what he does the week or two after the fact that brings the polls back to the norm.

I was kind of ashamed of what she did until I realized how the Republicans have been acting the last 10 years.

Now all I can say is

Good to know, you should let the OP know that... oh wait, doesn’t fit the narrative.

So you would have been OK if a GOP speaker did that to one of Obama's speeches?

Rough couple of days for you guys. Well years actually. First your Hillary got owned. Then you lose the Senate in 2018. Then you throw a hail mary for Impeachment and lose.

Now Mayor Pete is your number one guy!

Oh my god this is so funny

Seeing that I absolutely despised him for the vast majority of his presidency probably. I have a habit about not liking the party that is in control because they always do exactly what they complained about the other party doing — if not worse.

Voted for Obama in his first term, against him in his second term
Voted for trump in his first term, will vote against him in his second term

I think they are all corrupt liars
