Do you have evidence that they knew the sources were unreliable? They had video evidence.

You are the one making accusations without sources.
Much like you are condemning CNN for, but they had sources.

Maybe they should sue you for 250MM...

Again, this conversation is just going in circles as usual. You have nothing to back up your narrative so you just ignore requests for a single source.

You said there were numerous sources. Why is it proving to be so difficult?

Everyone does it in America, left, right, center. Frivolous lawsuits is the name of the game. If the kid gets even 5% from both Washington post/CNN, he would've made upwards of 10 million dollars.

    That's winning bigly for him.

    He won’t.

Even if they had some liability which I don’t believe they do after reading several legal analysts opinions on the matter — even conservative ones — the precedent would be too dangerous for media organizations to settle.

They will defend against this by every avenue they have.

Don’t get me wrong, I think the media as well as our politicians should be held responsible for mistruths, blatant lies, and manipulations but the media sources they are going after we’re just repeating news stories and interviewing sources. None of that falls under libel.

You're really reaching. As a large news source like CNN, I would hope the a snippet of a video and an unreliable source like Joe Blow from the alley would not be enough for them to run with a story labeling a minor as a racist, but so they are. You're doing everything you can to defend them, but it's their responsibility to ensure the accuracy of a story before they air it to a nationwide audience.

They don't have to prove it's fake, they DO have to prove it's real and authentic.

Ok. While your opinion is dully noted I don’t think it will have much relevance on legal proceedings. Let me know when you can find a source shows the libel claims. Thanks!

So CNN is responsible for the tweets of its contributors not published or endorsed under CNN.

So you’ve proven you can source... Why are you ignoring a very simple request to source your claims?

Why isn’t Sandmann suing this individual for 250MM?

LOL.......you know nothing about the legal system I see. If you don’t understand that the makeup of a jury is critical to the results in a case, notwithstanding the legalities, please read up on The State vs. Orenthal James Simpson........

    Concur.

Another ludicrous nuisance suit brought by greedy and/or deranged bigots, & cheered on by ignorant, racist fools.

I I give up. CNN is being sued for $250 large and you want to believe they’ve never, ever pushed the theory of the kids being racist. If that theory didn’t start with the lying left wing propaganda machine, then who?

Anyone can sue for any reason. You have stated that there are numerous instances of CNN pushing narratives they knew were false — but refuse to provide a single source. You have stated that CNN called the kids racists — but refuse to provide a single source.

    Talk about propaganda and lying...

The Rolling Stone has yet to retract or apologize.
“There was that moment when I realized I’ve put myself between beast and prey,” Phillips told theDetroit Free-Press. “These young men were beastly and these old black individuals was their prey, and I stood in between them and so they needed their pounds of flesh and they were looking at me for that.”

    https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/nathan-phillips-maga-students-781861/

Now that everyone's seen the whole video, does anyone think that these were "beastly" young men and where were the "old black individuals"?

I’m honestly hoping this goes to discovery. Everything will be brought to light which includes everything & anything this kid has ever posted online, done at school, said to classmates etc. The defense is going to go through his life with a fine comb.

Why, what would that have to do about the incident that occurred and their reporting of it? None of the networks knew anything about them when they broadcast the public disparagements. How about discovery to find out when did CNN see the full video, when did the know there was the full video and who made the editorial decisions and of course all the on air people they have no excuse for engaging in the attacks on the child anyway.
