Cohen is the one that should be in jail for violating attorney client privilege. What a scumbag for recording the president. Typical lawyer. He ironically still doesn't seem to have anything useful for CNN however. I hope he never gets another job. Trump needs to clean house and really watch out for rats in the future.

If anything is treasonous, this is. I wonder why no one is talking about this. It's okay because most of the media doesn't like Trump?

    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...en-could-be-in-trouble-over-leaked-trump-tape

"If it fact this material was originally leaked by Cohen when it was still privileged ... remember, a judicial officer found it to be privileged, it then was leaked only after it was leaked did [Rudy] Giuliani waive the privilege as to this in order to protect the privilege as to any other possible conversations ... if Cohen is the source of the leak, he has a serious problem," Dershowitz said on Fox News, indicating that Cohen may have violated attorney-client privilege.

"This was a conversation between a lawyer and a client that should never have been heard," he said.

I haven't been following this story.

But I did read about the day law enforcement kicked in Cohen's office, home doors and force-ably removed his computers. It reminded me of Gestapo tactics.

And it wasn't long after the FBI asked dems if they could see their computers to investigate the DNC hacking, and or tricks to get their passwords. The DNC said no, don't touch our computers, and the FBI complied.

It is apparent what our corrupt government officials are really interested in finding, and it certainly isn't the truth.

In my state, he would almost certainly be disbarred.

Trump wasn't President when Cohen recorded their conversation(s?) about campaign payoffs. :)

Backing up a bit, I'm sure the FBI had very strongly compelling evidence to raid Cohen's office. If so, and given that conspiracy to commit crimes is still illegal in New York, then Cohen flipping on Trump may not violate attorney-client privilege because privilege isn't attached to co-conspirators regardless of their relationship. Time will tell if that is the case.

He'll probably be disbarred for his crimes, but not for flipping on Trump.

Allow me to be more clear. In my state, he would almost certainly be disbarred for violating the Bar's ethical rules. Flipping on Trump, or whatever client, has nothing to do with that.

If convicted (or pled out) to campaign crimes, I'm sure Cohen will be disbarred in New York too.

Not a crime. Plus Trump's lawyers have already waived any privilege for the recordings.
    Trump only hires the best.
I doubt it. He's third-tier garbage among lawyers. He went to Cooley law school, which is a joke school. Lawyers often joke about other trash lawyers like this: "I'll bet he went to Cooley."
Yeah he's done as a lawyer. He won't have his license for long. But he knows this already. Now he's just trying to stay out of jail.

Whenever someone is facing the POTENTIAL of serious crimes, convicted or not, they will often say whatever law enforcement wants to hear in order to get a better deal.

There is no truth coming out in any of this.

Really? In my experience, honest people don't confess to crimes they didn't commit.

ALL OF THIS, everything you read about is the corrupt government, dems and lying liberal media attempting to keep Trump from doing his job.

Get OVER IT soon because the American PEOPLE can see what is going on here.

Come the next election in Nov, SURPRISE! again. :roflol:

Obviously you are emotionally invested in this a whole lot more than I will ever be. Enjoy!

Regardless of the outcome, I'm looking forward to both the October surprise and the election itself....plus the fact we still have two whole months before October. It should be very entertaining!

Yeah, an October surprise like Dan Rather's 2004 crap trying to keep Bush from getting reelected.

It DIDN'T WORK and Dan Rather was fired yet the lying liberal media doesn't care about losing a soldier or two if they can persuade more idiots to vote democrat.

We've been through this before and I ignored your replies before because I have a grip on reality, you don't.

His office was raided by the FBI, he is facing far worse than losing his bar assoc.

Like most lawyers, it turns out he's a conniving snake. Who'd have thunk it?

In such a situation it's hard to trust his credibility, so he better have a whole lot more tapes or he's toast.

Cohen will never work as a lawyer again. Who would trust him. And I would bet a lot of his other clients now wonder if Cohen taped them.

Client privilege doesn't apply if you are breaking the law.

    Cohen will be alright.

The top lawyers won't work for Trump.. He doesn't pay his bills and he won't take their advice.

Agreed, which explains why he has flipped on Trump.

    Agreed <insert lawyer joke here>

Agreed, which is why anything he says will need to be corroborated by the prosecution or the defense (either Trump's or Cohen's) will rip the case apart.

There's one commonality we can agree on: Never before has the state of affairs in our entire system been so filled with corrupt or dishonest people.

"Fish rot from the head down"

    https://thesalesblog.com/2012/06/21/a-fish-rots-from-the-head-down-a-note-to-the-sales-leader/
The statement “a fish rots from the head down” means that leadership is the root cause of an organizations failure and demise. This is true whether that organization is a country, a company, or a sales force. How could it be otherwise?

You Are Responsible for What’s Broken
If the culture is broken, only leadership can fix it. If leadership doesn’t establish and protect a healthy culture, some unhealthy culture will fill that vacuum. If the leadership culture itself is unhealthy, there begins the rot, and soon the fish is lost. If a pocket of negativity and cynicismexists, it’s because leadership hasn’t cut it out of the organization—especially when the pocket of negativity comes from the leadership ranks.

And that follows WHY Trump was nominated and elected to office in the first place. Not because of his alleged corruption, but to STOP this corruption that's been going on SINCE 2010. It scares the crap out of dems, corrupt bureaucrats, and the lying liberal media.
