    He was also fully vaccinated.

It's funny the only accomplishment you can list is that he was black.

I didn't say you were wrong. I said that your comment was exclusionary.

Why didn't Bush Sr support General Powell's presidential ambitions? I'm sure he would have made an excellent President. Maybe it was racism. General Powell was no Benedict Arnold. He loved this country and served it with honor.

There is no such thing as an AIDS virus.

Yes you did. You said, and I quote, "stupidly exposing myself without any protection at all." That is denying the existence of your innate immune system. You are being a science denier.

LIE. See the above bolded statement that you made. You didn't say "we need extra protection [beyond what we already have]". You said "[we don't have] any protection at all".

Irrelevant, especially on an online forum such as this one.

The COVID "vaccines" do not behave as traditional vaccines do. A vaccination (traditionally) is the application of a weakened or inactivated virus into one's body to train one's adaptive immune system to better respond whenever it comes across the "real deal" virus in nature. An early example of this is when people would expose themselves to a bit of a smallpox scab.

The COVID jab (an mRNA "vaccine") is inserting a bit of mRNA messaging into the body which instructs cells within the body to generate "spike proteins" (as found on the outside of a COVID virus). The body then attacks those "spike proteins" and puts them into memory for future natural exposure to COVID. That's the idea, anyway.

I will not be getting any booster (or any jab for that matter) as it is completely unnecessary for me given that I am a young healthy person with a very well functioning immune system. I also will NOT be forced nor coerced into getting one. I value my medical freedom (and freedom in general) and will not submit to Satanic tyranny.

Ego editorial had nothing on race, that was part of the article snippet. That snippet also stated Powell reshaped USA foreign policy for 20 yrs as an accomplishment.

Personally I think this guy was not a very good influence on our country.

He supported the Iraq war that basically caused the Great recession, he supported the Patriot act which is just government spying on citizens. I'm not a fan and whatever accomplishment he did is nothing to the destruction he wreaked upon our country.

Why didn't Powell support his friend McCain's presidential ambitions, who was closer to him on the issues than Obama was? Maybe it was racism.

The Iraq war did not cause the recession, that was the housing bubble.

He served honorably, he's gone, to berate at this point is useless. You don't like his politics, fine.

    Powell did not cause destruction.

    I found this:

“In his new book, "The Great War of Our Time: The CIA's Fight Against Terrorism From Al Qaeda to ISIS," former CIA Deputy Director Michael Morell apologizes to former Secretary of State Colin Powell for flawed CIA intelligence that Powell outlined in a 2003 speech at the United Nations.
"I thought it important to do so because here's a man with an incredible reputation, well-deserved over a long period of time, and he went out there and made this case, and we were wrong," CBS News senior security contributor said Monday on "CBS This Morning.””
CBS NEWS, Morell "wanted to apologize" to Powell about WMD evidence, CBS NEWS, MAY 11, 2015.

gobs of debt accrued to pay for it certainly didn't help.
he didn't serve honorably he helped create the Patriot act to spy on Americans. Even further believed that some guy breaking into pelosi's office and putting his feet on the desk who was an interaction but the insurrections that happened in Seattle weren't.

    He certainly isn't honorable.
I don't revere the guy and I don't like him.

Sure, he broke with the R's to support Barack, but it took 1/6 to completely renounce his membership with the insurrectionist party...

He was clearly edging away from those nuts for a full decade or more...

    Human Turdsicle...

Powell IS getting a bit of retroactive love here... something T**** will never EVER achieve...

The primary thing that will happen on his death will be his immediate downgrade from 4th worst POTUS to worst POTUS...

The second thing will be Melania partying like it's 1999....

Benedict Arnold said the same exact thing.

The bottom line is that Powell tried to hide his true politics, but in the end, the truth came out - he had a racial chip on his shoulder, just like Obama, and blamed whitey for holding him back...

I think a lot of people are misty-eyed about Colin Powell because they read a biography about him, and the remembering him during the bush years.

My take is Gen Powell was too smart to be President. Who in their right mind would want to put their families through something like that. Doesn't matter what party you run under. Its too bad though. He was a pretty smart guy.

How is this not a Covid death? Complications from Covid-19 (such as lung infiltrate with respiratory failure, or cytokine storm with multiple organ failure, or disseminated intravascular coagulation, etc., ARE Covid deaths. The virus will kill the host through some mechanism (which varies from case to case). These are called complications. Uncomplicated Covid-19 is a case of the sniffles when you clear the virus without consequence. When you have the complications we know this virus can cause, then you may die. That's what happened to Colin Powell. He died of Covid-19, which resulted in fatal complications. Co-morbid conditions include mulitple myeloma, its treatment, and Alzheimer's disease.

Non-fatal paralysis in polio is indeed more common than death, but polio kills too. For example, during the 1952 outbreak in the United States, of the 57,628 cases reported that year, 3,145 died and 21,269 were left with mild to disabling paralysis. That's a 5.4% Case-Fatality Rate which is much higher than Covid's.
